Rockstar Games Launcher not working

Anyone else having issues with rockstar games launcher? Overnight mine has suddenly decided to start playing up with the authentication error every time I try run it, oddly enough my room mate gets the same error on his laptop even though he hasnt played it for like a week. Anyone else had this issue?

I didn't get any errors but the recent update made me have to log in again.

Just a guess, but it might be something similar except the login screen isn't popping up. One way to check is to navigate to the launcher directory and run the launcher.

Tried that, doesnt work. even after reinstalling it doesnt give any sign in prompt before the error screen. It runs some updates then goes straight to error.

Today i was having a similar issue, i was playing gtao then it started to warning me about not being able to save/cloudsync, then it logged me out, then i wasn't able to log into rockstar, and it said that validating my account was taking longer than usual.
Thought it was rockstar severs, but nobody was complaining and the server status was all green, i was able to surf the web, chat and use steam.
It was mi ISP, for some reason it wasnt letting me log on some games, like gta and injustice 2.
Maybe you could try to tether your phone and check if it something like my problem.

I can't either and I can't find anyone talking about it. I've been unable for about 5 or 6 hours, I get the same error as you

"Spent almost 4 hours following everything I could find from Rockstar troubleshooting instructions to youtubers.
Unistalled everything belonging to Rockstar, reinstalled fresh. before changing DNS, after DNS, logged in account, from steam, without steam...
Everything fine but authenticating.
Not sure if I should be waiting for GTA6 or forget that Rockstar existed."

Tried VPN as well, no luck.
Some people reported that after some time it magically fixed, but for some it was back.

mine from today, but I haven't played R* games for a while, decided to try Enhanced heh
At least one more person has it today.
Couple people with same problem on Discord from 5 and 6 days ago.
It look like its going for a while, but not for many people. Mostly ignored or usual (DNS, reinstall. check connection, firewall, antivirus etc)

interesting that i can log in on site and go all the way to payment for buying game no problem lol. But not authorise owned game

yup getting the same auth error this morning, working fine yesterday. total joke for a game so fare in its life. its a piss take.

anyone found a fix, have you tried restore point on your computer, only issue would be if you have slaved away getting coin then your gonna have to do it again lol. worth a try or just wait until the magic happens.

Yeh ive done the same, i think it will right its self tomorrow, or later tonight. could be a Rockstar tarrif test lol.

Still no luck getting it to work after other methods of fixes, rockstar said it was a connection issue on my end but Ive done just about every recommended step on their support page as well as the ones on reddit threads and here.

I'm having the same issue. With it being totally out of the blue after having just played two days ago, I'm not wasting the time or the data to reinstall anything or mess with my computer connection settings. R* will just say it's a problem on our end, then it'll "magically" fix itself in a few hours or days like these things usually do. It's unfortunate, but I'm not surprised.

Just reinstalled after ages and tried the enhanced edition and am having the same problem

I have same problem . the game was fine 10 hours ago but the launcher error now

authentic error with Rockstar , grrr , tried nearly everything , fixed it by , Local Disk(C)/Program Files/ Rockstar Games/ Launcher / LauncherPatcher.exe
Run or click launcherPatcher.exe from here and should ask for log in details for Rockstar Games and open. Good luck .
