GTA 5 Enhanced Online - Becoming a Modders Paradise.
Okay,

This is mostly just a rant post; as I'm sure this topic has been brought up so many times, people are ready to gouge their eyes out over this issue...

Despite all the so called safeguards put in place like BattlEye; this game is a modders paradise. Just in the last two days, I have been targeted four times; two of the instances lead to the attacker crashing my client out to Windows (both times, I was in the middle of air freight resupply missions). Yesterday, there was a whole gaggle of them that came in and created nothing but chaos. I ran one of them over at full speed with my Nightshark; and they bounced off the building like a freakin rubber ball - and got right up.

Let me add that Rockstar CS gives absolute no fecal matters; or they simply have no brains. Even with a stack of evidence provided, time stamps, event logs, etc., they give these cookie cutter AI-type responses that add insult to injury; in fact you truly will feel like you're getting punked. It actually makes me beg to question - are Rockstar employees participating in the griefing? Sure seems like it.

If RS is not going to deal with these modders in a meaningful way; then they need to lift the curtain and allow people to step in with their own mod menus to help deal with these losers. Most online games have GMs that monitor sessions; why can't RS do the same?

Simple explanation: because GTA Online is peer-to-peer servers. What does that mean? Every time a player joins GTA online, they are either starting their own "server", or joining someone else's "server". Meaning that GM's would have a hard time cracking down on cheaters. It could be done, but R* would have to hire an army of employees where their only job is to join into sessions, and ban cheaters. Not to mention pay these employees to do only that.

Hey -

Thanks for responding; and your reply makes sense. I'm sure from a business standpoint; even a company of their financial strength, they wouldn't want to employ the necessary amount of people to properly moderate these sessions. I think the part that angers me more than anything is their responses from CS. Its almost as if they ignore the entirety of the complaint with the information provided; and tell you the steps on how to report someone. Well, how can you report someone that is invisible to the entire session and acting as a God before crashing your client? What is worse, is they took chat away, and unless you are friends with someone or part of a crew, texting doesn't work. So you basically don't even have a means to communicate with people.

Play solo / friends - problem solved.
Every popular game is filled with cheaters, i personally i have not encountered any since enchanced release. On legacy every server been with cheater.

I just got a BSOD Driver Power State Failure. That's never happened to any other game. Only GTA V Enhanced Online. I have 0 ways to find if someone caused it so I'm quitting enhanced. Heading back to legacy and hopefully it doesn't happen again.

p.s. forgot to mention what happened that makes me think it was a hack of some kind. I was trying to complete a set up step for the Guzman heist when the helicopter started spinning and rising into the sky. I had 0 control of the game. Soon as it reached the top of the sky it stayed spinning. I was able to use the keyboard and eject. Then I was able to pull the cord for my chute. That's when the system crashed. GTA doesnt randomly stop my control of the game, act in such a weird way, and then crash my system with a BSOD driver failure.

My best death yet by modders since enhanced, I was in acid lab... boom, I am dead along with everyone else. That is when it is time to go private, treat is like a social disease, talk about it in whispers but please do not spread it to others. This has been a PSA brought to you today by the makers of Sores-b-gone and your little dog too....Heee hee heee heee!
