Is anyone experiencing players randomly leaving?
I am experiencing an odd situation where every public lobby I join in GTA Online all of a sudden ends up with every player leaving either in numbers or individually that progressively keeps going until there is no one but me that remains. I find it even more convenient because I had some issues with some players, mainly one who has been reported and blocked. Encountered a friend a few days after, and now this happens. A little bit paranoid but I'm sure its nothing. It feels like I'm being softly ddoss'd by these people, but they aren't typically switching my internet offline. Also, another thing to point out is that I have been playing nearly every day, and it has always been fine. Now, all of a sudden, players are just deciding to leave. I find it strangely odd.

Has anybody else been experiencing this?

More than anything, some kind of weird anomaly in your network. Or the host. Or maybe even someone else's connection. It's strange when it happens on its own.

Modders might be doing it too, but they shouldn't really be here on Enhanced, hell not even that much on Legacy unless you're unlucky.

You can recreate this via Task Manager if you suspend GTA for a 10 count then resume. You'll find that this can help you a lot if you find yourself stuck on a loading screen or frozen mid-animation. I wouldn't recommend it if you're loading out of a completed mission/heist, just because I feel that will actually cause more problems than do any good.

But as for fixing the problem, no clue. Thank Rockstar for using P2P connections as a crutch, rather than have proper servers? Dunno.

The modders are here. Trust me. I just went through a lot of crap 30 minutes ago with a modder who interrupted my air frieght resupply mission; teleported me and the whole lobby to one area, attempted to force me into a mission, and then kicked me from the game, then crashed my client. Yeah, I would say someone is messing around rather than network anomolies.

Well the player I had beef with did snipe me through buildings but stopped when I picked up on it. So perhaps they did do something after they were triggered by how I was enjoying the entire beef scenario cus at that point there isn't much you can do other than leave or just have fun with it.

i cant explain this either. my internet is still the same, back in legacy i got NAT type strict noti pop up all the time, and i got disconnected in public session constantly. last night i tried enhance and guess what, the NAT type noti still pop up, but i didnt get disconnected at all, testing in the same public session for nearly 2hrs, players number always around 15-27... the worst case is R* is trying to sabotage the lagacy experience...

Thats really odd I used to have issue with Legacy's online as well where people would just randomly leave till there was just me. I wouldn't say R* is doing anything to the legacy version because I'm using the Enhanced edition and its happening to me on here. Its so weird right? I have no idea what it is. I contacted R* support and they told me to restart my pc, verify the game, and then relaunch, which did work for a few lobbies only to then resume the problem. So I have no idea if its the upcoming update that R* is doing or my net is going poo poo mode for the day or someone like the players I had beef/had beef with me may have done something to my network.
What I have noticed is that there are some connectivity issues. When I am host the others might just suddenly leave but I remain. For whatever reason my good connection is preferred by the game when host is having connection issues. I can only assume you likewise have a good connection that allows other players to enter/exit places quickly. The problem is during the change when your ideal connection is recognized just before or after you spawn in.

How to know when you are host, no lag entering and exiting all of your businesses, and I do not mean just the one you already pre-loaded by entering and exiting.

If the host experiences connection issues or disconnects, the session may get disrupted, and the game will select another player to take over.

How to know you are not the host, after the second or third different business you enter you suddenly stare at a black screen for 30 seconds to several minutes which is a reflection of hosts connection even though the graphics are on your end, the initialization of graphic and cell change simply fails to start quickly.
