It was and still is important to educate people on those matters, that other people exist and that they are also human, they have their own interests, orientation and so on. Without those things videogames will stay «dumb» and not thoughtful, which is what the industry is trying to avoid. It’s important to show to people and make them think about subjects of oppression, where people have been oppressed quite a lot throughout history and why that oppression was meaningless. They were just making lives of the minorities worse for nothing, all due to blind-consuming hatred.

People have lives and there are growing social inequalities and issues that plague the world. That’s where DEI comes in to take care of that, to help social groups that haven’t been treated fairly and equally for centuries. Videogamers hate the inclusion of those things in media, but not everyone is spending 24/7 in front of a monitor. People out there have lives. It’s easy for gamers to ignore realistic issues, but DEI messaging was and still is important for gamers to understand why this entire thing is not bad and is actually culturally important. Games were never separate from real life elements, thus, real life messages should also be integrated into videogames and they are, those things aren’t as separate as people valuing fantasy over reality think. You may ignore politics, but politics do not ignore you, politics shape the environment around you and one man as an individual depends on it. There are great games like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided that shown discrimination and how hatred towards minor groups takes place in modern day world. GTA 6 could easily follow that track.

Even with trump, with whatever president, it doesn’t matter, it is important to represent people that had no freedom and were in dark places for many centuries. The typical caveman mentality that tries to ban, abolish, prohibit everything is detrimental and goes against the whole idea of being a diverse human. People should not be the same, they are diverse and imposing someone’s restrictive opinion on minorities is a very inconsiderate thing to do. There is nothing bad about other people being different to other people, the diversity and the depiction, the representation of culture has found its way into the entertainment medium to show to people that things aren’t as stereotypical as many thought them to be, the DEI tries to explain to people that there is a real world out there beyond computer monitors, television screens and that people are fighting for their own identity, for their own selves to stand to who they really are. Minimizing hatred towards such minority groups, as they were oppressed for centuries, was and still is important, will continue to be important until people understand that hurting other people for them being different, for diversity that exists as a core of idea of being human, that people should have equal rights with whatever orientation they might have is vital to the society and their emotional, ideological growth. Because hurting other people for being naturally different does not make a bully a better man than the ones they hurt. For those reasons, people are encouraged to embrace the diversity that exists and haters can do nothing about, as even with all the oppression and hate towards the minorities, such minorities still existed for centuries. A battle that follows hate, hatred towards the minorities is a pointless one, as closing one’s eyes on people’s differences will not somehow change the human existence and diversity regardless. Hatred might ignore it, might suppress it, but it cannot kill it. For that it is important to put the hate towards human differences regarding minorities of different skin, orientation behind and embrace who they are and who we are as humans.

Now let’s go on to actually talk about gta 6. To anyone wondering, the game will be a game inclined to be more DEI. There is a reason why.

The original Rockstar CEO and writer of gta/rdr games dan houser was always a follower of a more diverse approach towards protagonists where their values are depicted to a significantly large detail. The first gta game already had a female protagonist because women are just as human as anyone else. GTA San Andreas had a black protagonist already and in many of those games there were strong, independent women that essentially carried men like Catalina in GTA:SA and 3. On top of it, there was a character in gta 3 called «Donald love» who was depicted as a very corrupt character in the game. He is a parody of trump, that guy who is the U.S president at the time of writing and dan houser in one of the claims had stated that he is glad to not be releasing gta 6 during trump because things they’d do would make a lot of people mad. (he clearly referred to people getting mad over gta 6 being so-called «woke» even though there is no such a thing.) and that trump’s actions will be yet again depicted through a parody very negatively for a good reason. Dan and a bunch of other writers wanted to pursue other projects without being explicitly bound to just another gta game, which is why they’ve went to dan’s company. They wanted to do something different, but their care towards people’s diversity remains the same.

Now the new writers came into rockstar and they will help shape the diversity, equity and inclusion even more so. Quality of the game is one thing, but the strength of its DEI is another and we are discussing the DEI aspect specifically.

Any reference of GTA 6 writers’ work expertise is a public, open information.

So, after researching the information about GTA 6 writing team, I’ve found the names of those new writers. We will be looking into what they’ve done before and reasoning as to why they are in the studio. First name that I would like to mention, the one for the «additional writer» role (likely extra scenes, in-game TV documentaries, shows and the like) is Nick Brooks[en.wikipedia.org] He will be responsible for bringing the representation aspect into gta 6 in proper detail. He made some documentaries about black people and their importance, even had a short movie shown at a film festival called «American Black Film Festival». He has a new thriller in the works that is planned to come out May 6th. «It’s a thriller set in DC, centered around a mysterious murder that takes place at a Black Lives Matter protest.» That alone tells us the messages we can expect in GTA 6.

Of course, it’s important to hire new writers for the job when the old ones left and some people with experience at DEI had to be hired to keep the GTA inclusion aspect going. They are the ones who can shape GTA into something much greater than a silly criminal drama about shooting random NPCs in the open world.

The next writer for GTA 6 we will be looking into is Jeff Topolski[ucbcomedy.com], an associate writer at Rockstar, he is some sort of a comedy writer who’s main focus is to write plays of some kind. His expertise involves teaching at University of California. (most of the new writers are from California)

Take a look at his YouTube channel and by observing the videos he published, a lot of things involve a fairly diverse set of people in their theatrical-like cast.

As we can see, this is exactly the type of humor we can expect from GTA 6. Those things fit commercials and TV shows in GTA 6 which is likely what he’ll be responsible for also.

For pedestrian and ambient dialogue, GTA 6 has Lilah Taber[www.lilahtaber.com]. Yet again, from California. All those writers are graduates from California, meaning they’ve went through advanced DEI training. They needed the Californian mentality in their next game because they are the ones able to provide the vibe, the atmosphere of DEI to the fullest. Her dialogues, monologues from pedestrians you will be able to hear in GTA 6, even if their quality will feel questionable, they still represent and representation is what’s important and what we look for here.

As for the non-californian writers, let’s look into who’s responsible for the narrative this time.

There was also a need for the new narrative designers. They’ve hired Emi Schaufeld[www.emischaufeld.com]. It is a New-York based narrative designer. She will be responsible for designing dialogue in GTA 6.

Let’s take a look the biography for this gta 6 narrative designer:

«Emi Schaufeld is a writer, director, and comedian who lives in Astoria, NY. Her work is super rad and has been showcased in festivals worldwide such as Frameline Film Festival, BFI: Flare Film Festival and Wicked Queer: Boston LGBTQ.»

We’ve seen what we need to see here.

She was also responsible for the unpopular «Yay Women» tv series that almost no one heard about.

Let’s take a look at someone who isn’t necessarily responsible for the narrative, but was responsible for the narrative in other projects. Check out the Tori-Lynne Davis[torilynne.carrd.co], the «Camera Resource Technician» for GTA 6. By looking at their page we can already see their strive for DEI, as clearly they understand its importance.

There are still older writers such as James Horton, but they aren’t the ones who interest us when we talk about DEI aspect in GTA 6, though they might as well be. Some are fresh graduates with no prior experience such as Rosie Taylor, thus there isn’t much to talk about when it comes to their «writing».

Originally Lazlow Jones was responsible for finding music for radio stations in GTA series with dan handpicking certain songs, but now, seeing all the questionable nightclub music authors that new rockstar ceo (sam houser) loves, we can expect sam houser to find more strange music that sam is fond of for the new gta game. We should probably expect keinemusik or someone like him to return.

There was also Rupert Humphries, but where he is currently is unknown because he wasn’t hired into Rockstar in a typical fashion, rather having housers as their contacts.

There are also other writers, such as technical writers responsible for writing documentation for the company itself. We will not be covering them.

As we can see, there are plenty of writers of different genders, backgrounds. All of them will shape GTA 6’s writing to be as inclusive as possible. Because it is important to depict the society for what it is, to cover important topics so that people, in such a mass consumer product won’t feel left behind and will feel represented.

Also, to anyone wondering, the DEI aspect will be prevalent in GTA 6 for reasons established and because they also hire people who are aware of the discriminatory aspects and how important it is to for diverse society to battle discrimination and help minor social groups.

We are estimating GTA 6 to further educate people on important matters of DEI and also a significant portion of the players to complain about "woke" only for that word and the whole thing to be blurred after initial potential outcry that will last for many months after the game's release where less and less people will start using the word over time because GTA 6 has a great potential throw it out of the equation, because that way the forced word "woke" will eventually lose its meaning for people (it already doesn't have it) and GTA 6 will ring a bell to those people by educating them that this is serious and that social minor groups are being oppressed. Studios, by hiring only specific, educated on those matters people, the ones who are experienced with DEI will battle hatred towards diverse individuals.

What's being repressed is the shoe-horning and forcing things down other peoples throats.

Inclusion isn't hiring someone just because they check a box - I would argue that is just the opposite. Now your job security is tied to being in the minority, which once false, you now no longer matter to that ORG outside of what merits you had in that time, and may still be left by the way-side for the next group of "inclusive hires".

DEI is more about the conversations people should be having - as most mothers at one time said "treat others the way you want to be treated". They never said "treat specific people the way you want to be treated"; trying to do so alone demonstrates the individuals tendency for being un-inclusive.

The problem is folks have been for months

They stated in another thread if one is locked, they will just re-post it (and have plenty), and also has 3+ alt accounts that are used when community banned. Mods really can't do much about them at all.
