Thank you! I'll look into it when I'm less pissed off at Rockstar! We shouldn't have to go through the hassle of changing our settings to play a game our computer can handle easily. But they have so many bad developers that they can't get a game to work properly.

Hi. Not a perfect solution, but you can open Resource Monitor, navigate to the Network tab, right-click GTA5_Enhanced.exe, Suspend, confirm, wait for ~10 seconds, resume the process. This usually solves the P2P connection issue by dumping you in a solo lobby. It ain't perfect, but it's faster than restarting.

Yeah, nah i won't do that, im not addicted to GTA at this point, they just should work on it as it's an Enhanced version.
The loading time on a populated server is crazy sometimes. I think they have a dump problem or something, because once there is a population and anything wild goes on, the loading times begin to take a much longer time when going into the nightclub or auto shop etc...
There shouldn't be any loading screens in 2025.

If the host of a session has low upload speeds this is most likely the issue

in 1976 you had to spend months inputting basic to make the games, to load 1 game off tape recorder took me 6 months.
All games have loading screens, some of them hide it. If they try to hide it here they will need to put in cut scenes that are showing you outside getting ready to knock down the door, maybe show you getting out of your car getting on the phone, maybe prepping a helicopter for take off. This will increase the load screen time which is not really that bad.

I understand why the load screens are taking longer. They are using the transition time to scan for hacks. If you have a second monitor, have the right programs and you know how to do so then you can see what is being accessed to be sure another file is not being inserted, or manipulated. It is a good attempt to block hacks.

I ventured into a few public lobbies. During that time I know I came across one hacker and possibly a second. The second was invisible even standing in spitting distance, only name showing, and this person did this repeatedly but there is the chance my PC was simply not rendering a graphic for the character.

Every lobby I went to was a toxic environment, people attacking others for no reason other than to disrupt them. I found a few good people in there that I might have friended, rode around with one for hours, letting each other test out vehicles, racing about only to be constantly grief-ed. Would have continued just avoiding the toxics and having fun but a hacker took everyone in the lobby, put us on pizza delivery mission... like many, I rolled with it and made my deliveries but then left because frankly I do not want to be in same lobby with hacker but neither should these poor NPCs not get their pizzas delivered.

Sure, load time is increased a little but it is not like having explosive diarrhea in a swim suit in a water park but that is a loading time that is too fast to cope with.
