Fascinating information, I'm playing on my system fine, sounds like your system is the unstable one.
Be sure to buy GTA VI when it releases!

Yeah, my unstable pc runs Cyberpunk and Diablo 4 on ultra no problem.

50% of the time I get in a car it doesn’t work at all. I manage to successfully load into a session about 60% of the time, and god help me if someone leaves during the mission. Straight back to main menu.

Heists are more broken than they ever were. Half the missions are bugged. Cars spawning out of nowhere causing explosions.

This is not a stable game. They have been neglecting their servers for a decade and now we’re stuck with this ♥♥♥♥. Instead of milking gta for more money, maybe they should’ve actually upgraded some of the hardware the worlds most successful video game depends on

I just chill in freemode making money with my freemode business stuff and only ever have to worry about whoever's hosting the session making my load times longer than they should be. Haven't had any issues getting in a car and it not working. Glad I haven't bothered with heists or missions that require more than 2 people in years.
This game has been super unstable for me too. constantly disconnecting from servers, not to mention the infinite loading bugs nearly every time i walk into any building, business, or garage. super annoying. such a pain in the ass.
I guess i'm just lucky. other than a car randomly blinking into existence it's been quite stable for me. I tend to just head for an invite only, i dislike the loading times of crappy net people. lol.

But even when i'm just chillin through freemode it's not given me any issues.
i cant even make it pass the load screen to get into the game now been like this for 2 days. just goes black and turns off no error report.

That sounds like a system problem not a game problem. check if your pc is overheating.

Does the same thing happen on the Legacy version ?

I think it runs pretty well off my 3700x and 4070.

Infinite loading screens is usually because of a crappy host (thanks P2P), beyond that idk.

Yeah, my pc runs Cyberpunk and Diablo 4 on ultra, no problem. Mine can do all those fine, so again it's a YOU issue most likely. This game is optimized for real SSDs, which seems to be a major issue. I've seen people using HDDs from like 2010 still, or they got SSD, but it's one of those like 100 buck SSDs using tech from 2012, whole whoping 2 times the speed of the 45 buck HDDs, such a rip off. Meanwhile, for 78 bucks, you can get two terabytes, and it's almost 10 times the speed, sigh

I love how steam users work. "My pc is working bad its the devs fault!" Whats first thing in that sentance you just said "Its the devs fault?" No before that "the devs broke their game?" No no the my pc part "oh it can't be my pc because it plays another game we all know every game is exactly the same. They all must have same engine and everything be standard.

Yeah, that is why Myth of Empires got sued for using Ark code, because every game just uses the other game's code, and it's fine. Oh wait its not even the same damn game engine your talking about lol.

Jesus, we get it, you don't know a first thing about computers or programming, sigh.

When you want an online game, you dont go to rockstar,.
same as, you don't go to pizza hut to purchase a bright yellow golfing umbrella.

Rockstar should step away from online game production.
they are trying to bake a cake under water.

Ping: A lower ping (latency) is always better for online gaming, ideally under 100 ms, though higher values can still work for less competitive play.

I wonder how many players are using substandard internet ?

ChatGPT: In online gaming, especially with games like GTA Online, there are definitely players who might be using substandard internet connections. This can result in issues like:

Lag or latency problems

Disconnected sessions

Choppy gameplay

Difficulty syncing with other players

While Rockstar doesn’t share exact statistics on players' internet quality, we can assume a good portion of the player base might be using lower-speed internet for various reasons, such as limited access to high-speed providers or playing on mobile hotspots. However, players with better internet tend to have a smoother and more enjoyable experience, so games like GTA Online often see issues in heavily populated areas where ping and connection quality play a significant role.
My bet is half got HDDs other half complaining are on DSL and reason why random lobbies are ♥♥♥♥ because their ♥♥♥♥ upload rates screw over any onethat joins them lol.

Have you played the Legacy version lately, if so, is the same thing happening ?
