Slow Loading Screens are back!
It was promised that after switching to GTA 5 Enhanced, we'll have faster load screens and that was true for a limited time... =\

I'm sitting here waiting trying to get into the Casino. As of late the Loading Screens have be awful. Men i got my girl into this game who for over a year didnt want to join GTA 5 until Loading screens were fixed. Now that they're back, guess what will happen? Can't even have fun anymore....

I've got the M.2 Samsung SSD's with up to 7K read and writes. It used to be fast at the beginning of Enhanced but then went back to Slow mode loading after a week. NOT because of SSD's.

Hardware isn't the issue, everyone is affected by whoever's "hosting" the freemode session.

not only this but just today the game crashed at least 5 times already.

Enhanced does not load faster than legacy. My legacy is fully modded and starts in around 1min and 10sec, just the same as non modded enhanced version. Not impressed....
I have found that by loading into a freemode lobby the loading is always very slow. I think this is because you are establishing and negotiating p2p connections to all the other players, as well as transferring information to you about the state of the game world (and then needing to keep it current), at least one of whom is bound to have a bad connection, as well as loading the game world and logic, which is more complex the more players are in the session.

At some point if you have good enough hardware and connection the bottleneck becomes other people's internet connections, which you can do nothing about, so it is frustrating.

A workaround does exist by joining on a friends-only lobby from the Rockstar HOME menu, but you need to have a friend in a friends-only lobby to do that, and they can only get one of those lobbies by first loading into a public lobby.

Rockstar can fix this by allowing you to load into a friends-only or invite-only lobby from the menu screen instead of having to join on a friend already in their friend-only lobby.

I think you could do that in Legacy. It's a bit worrying for GTA 6 Online that Rockstar removed that feature because I absolutely do not want to go back to the horrible old days of having my supplies ganked in public lobbies again.

It's 100% someone in your public lobby having bad internet. It only becomes more and more noticeable as the game is CONSTANTLY trying to dump you into a public lobby. When you first log in public lobby, when you do a contact mission or deathmatch or whatever afterwards it dumps you in a public lobby. Doing a heist with friends it dumps you in a public lobby. The game is constantly trying to populate public lobbies even though no one wants to join public lobbies because not only does it take forever to load but Agent 007 James Bond is literally waiting outside your apartment with whatever 5-10 million dollar military vehicle he happens to be using at the time.

To be honest the easiest fix is to let people choose to log in on closed friend sessions but if they did that then all the public lobbies would appear empty instead of them being slam full of people trying to leave them.

This.
Theres also 2 hosts. Session host and script host.

Its modders breaking the session, like always. The mental gymnastics people put themselves through to find an alternative reason, is astonishing.
Wifi players cause this. And if you're using wifi you should expect it.
To avoid loading screens i learned from someone online. You can go to Task Manager and Suspend GTA5exe, wait 10 seconds, Resume. It removes you out of that public lobby and puts you into your own. Then i go about my business. However i don't want to do that when i'm playing with my friend and other randoms doing heists. They took forever to load last time, from the mission drop off in the desert, i went all the way to downtown apartment, and i still had to wait for them to load passed the slow loading screen after a mission. I also use wifi, i'm on fiber and get 600 GB speeds. I'm not having issues with Netflix movies, or any other game. I know it can't be my end. I understand all of you. Thank you for all of your inputs. Even when i had a hard line internet at my old place. These slow loading screens still existed. So yeah must be the people in the lobby.
OMG SO SLOW i am waiting for 5 min plus just to enter online game session?

loading the game is different to loading into your properties
