Why is activation code send to a WRONG email-address ???
I'm trying to install GTA V and the verification code is send to an email-address UNKNOWN to my Rockstar account or Steam email-address???

I've not changed my email-address for the past 24 years ... WTF is wrong ?

Phoenix

Your account might have been hacked?

Nope, I logged into my account on Rockstar and there is only my email-address I have for the past 24 years ...

so, how do you know they sent it to an adress that is unknown by you?
It's the same with my completely different email.

3:04AM on March 20th, I had an unauthorized device try to access my rockstar account and Rockstar sent me a email.

I'm sorta in the same boat, a old account that used a compromised password from years ago. Luckily I had 2-factor authentication enabled

Because the email-address is shown to where the activation-code is send to ...
It is and has never ever been my email-address that is shown ...

My emailadress NEVER changed for the past 24 year's, so how Rockstar thinks this is my current email-address, I don't know !
your account was hacked

time to pray to rockstar support

If it was hacked, that wrong email-address has to show up in my profile settings at Rockstar right ???

Well, WRONG, overthere it is still my 24 year old email-address I still use daily ...

I have to admit, they did listen at Rockstar (I even didn't ask to resolve this issue because there is no option for it ...)

I just tryed to logon to Rockstar Social club, my 2fa was removed, and my password was reset, I had to change it ...

And now the option for steam is visible again, and for good measure, I installed GTA again,

And now the verification code is send to my 24 year old email-address and I'm able to play it again !!!

Phoenix
