Still can't train Chop

Dunno what they were smoking when they did the PC port of next-gen, but with the iFruit Companion App having been long gone since 2022, I can't figure out why we still have Chop's ability to do tricks tied to doing stuff outside the game. There's pet stores we could buy toys at or w/e to make him happy, but they're unused assets.

nah it isn't unused
the guys over there on fivem happily refurbished the stuff and even added new stuff

and singleplayer dudes normaly fix this stuff through mods

If there's one for Enhanced Edition, I'll probably look into throwing a pet fix mod on.

I don't get that too. They even added the ability to create custom plates (from iFruit app) back through Social Club account, yet Chop training is still missing to this day. I guess that shows where R*'s priorities lie.

Chop is story mode only, used in only two missions and interacting with him is only needed once for an achievement to gt 100%. And the companion app is never needed for any of that.
Custom license plates on the other hand are also used in GTAO, where most people probably use it for the endless amount of customized cars they can buy and actually store with insurance.

My guess is they were overwhelmed with support tickets about license plates.

Makes sense, I suppose. I just don't know why they included the functionality for external app interaction in the remaster when the app itself had been shut down for years prior to the remaster even being announced. Would it have really been that hard to strip out a value dependency for the app stuff and tie it to something basic like how many times per day Frank interacts with Chop?
