Report a translation problem
edit - i think i've fixed for myself for now. switched to stereo instead of 7.1 surround in audio settings system>sound>more audio settings>right click on ur audio device>configure speakers> select stereo.
Hmm i did not tested guns, i just walk around for 2 hours and noticed something was off when i received a call from a new contact, completely silent... i thought i was hearing silent breathing over the call lol but nope, nothing at all and then the call hang up.

Lol i guess we found out at the exact same moment.
To clarify, on Windows, I went to settings, sound. Scroll to the advanced tab, click volume mixer and scroll down to the app that's currently running (which is obviously GTAV) Click the drop down menu, and on the right side click your main audio that you use. I believe the problem is that if you use any surround sound as your main audio output it's going through the wrong channels.
Just tried this its still sounding muffled or low i have to literally turn the volume at a certain percentage to hear on the legacy version I didn't have to
