W11 Problem with audio on Xbox Wireless Headphones
All games and applications work perfect, even "legacy" GTA V.

  • I have Microsoft USB Dongle for Headpones.
  • I have disabled ALL other devices (even microphone).
  • I have in-game voice chat disabled in game options.

Still... the audio has stuttering. It goes off every second in the menu.
Then, I tried to start a new game and the whole game stutters every two or three seconds... I thinks it's related to audio...

If I switch to speakers, the audio problem is gone AND the game runs smoothly.
Again, this only happens with GTA V Enhanced.

Does anyone has ever had this issue??

System:
  • ASUS Strix B560I
  • RTX3070
  • i7 10700KF
  • 64GB DDR4
  • NVMe SSD with DirectStorage support

Using the same headphones but wired, solves the issue... But it only happens with GTA V Enhanced. I even use them to stream and chat while playing other games, etc... with no problem

same
I have exactly the same problem. Thank God I'm not the only one.... If you find a solution, please let us know here🙏
I think it has something to do with communications.
Some headsets have like two channels, one for audio and one for voice chat.
When I bought the Xbox wireless headset and connected it via bluetooth, let's just say that the bluetooth bandwidth wasn't enough for both and it sounded terrible.
Everything was solved when I bought the Microsoft Wireless USB Adapter.

However, with GTA V Enhanched it seems that's not enough. It's like game's trying to switch between normal mode and voice chat mode all the time. However, I have everything disabled: voice chat in the game options, all the other devices in the windows options... and nothing.
same here arctis 9x with xbox dongle

I'm having this issue as well. The only 'fix' I can find, is to wire your headset to the PC. I did some tests, and if you can plug your headset into your pc, or into your controller and then your controller to pc, it seems to fix it. My headset plugs into my xbox controller and it has the same issues you describe.
Edit: I tried a wireless headset plugged directly into the pc, but that didn't do anything. I'm assuming as the headset is still transmitting wireless, and only taking a charge from the cable

I don't know yours but my Xbox Wireless Headset, when wired, even if paired, will use the cable over the wireless.

Lets hope this get fixed.
I have Xbox wireless headphones and when connected over bluetooth to a PC, the audio sounds low quality, like a phone. Wired it sounds and works great.
Turn off Dolby Atmos while playing GTA, it will help

Yeah, I got "windows sonic", "surround" and that kind of extras disabled. Also "do nothing" in "communication" tab... Still same problem.

Having the exact same problem. The game continuously suffers from micro freezes ever few seconds as soon as I plug a headset into my Xbox Controller. The controller connects to my PC with a USB Dongle.

I've never had this problem with any other game. Hopefully someone figures out a solution, this is my third night researching the problem and still nothing :(
For me, the game freezes over-and-over for about two seconds at a time when I have headphones plugged into a wireless controller. I contacted Rockstar support and opened a ticket. They replied with steps to reinstall the game. I followed their steps but the problem persists and I relayed that to them and asked to escalate as a game bug (since others on Reddit have described the same issue). They replied asking me to upload a video that demonstrates the issue, which I'll have to do later... If anyone else can also upload a video (if having the same or similar issue), it may help with expediting a patch, etc.

Same problem, GTA Enhanced, Xbox wireless dongle, Windows 10
Game freezes for 1-2 seconds a few times every minute.
No issue when using AirPods (bluetooth), or speakers.
It improved with latest nVidia driver but still happens
someone fix it?
