Forced Stereo Mode Audio
As the title states, the game sounds like it's forcing compressed stereo audio on me, there are no more options in game to change speaker setup or audio settings like there is in the now 'legacy' version. Is this some sort of joke? I'm using corsair 7.1 surround sound headphones for what it's worth and I can only assume it's some sort of conflict with the forced 'dolby surround' which apparently is in this albeit my headphones already use Dolby Surround tech.

Yeah some people are reporting issues with devices and Dolby surround sound Razor 7.1 etc etc think its the 7.1 try switching to 5.1, I switched my Razor to optic only and 5.1 and now the dialogue in game works again.

this would be a good suggestion, however my headphones cannot be changed into 5.1, either 7.1 or surround off entirely.

I just changed my audio device to use Nvidia Broadcast and now the surround sound works as it should in game.
That's completely stupid that they have removed those options... Audio is awefull in the enhanced versions on a 5.1 surround sound system...

my JBL 7.1 cuts out most dialog and sounds i dont get how they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that up
it sounds like my game is being played inside a tin can underwater.
if your pc cant support nvidia broadcast, the rtx voice actually works too (im using it with a gtx 1060)
Legit sounds like it's underwater in my system. Like I'm halfway to deafness.
Audio has very low attenuation
Hopefully they look into and address it

Basically it is quiet and lacks tone especially bottom end.
Does not seem to matter stereo or surround.

There was literally no reason for them to remove the TV/Surround/Headphone sound options from Legacy. It worked wonderfully.

Now my 5.1 YAMAHA system outputs garbage because thr game is feeding it garbage.

I do not think it is a case of "remove"
Enhanced is the console version, backported
I dont think the console version has audio choices?
I tested the Enhanced Edition on PC.

I have an external 5.1 surround sound amplifier and speakers. It's connected with HDMI to the graphics cards HDMI port since Nvidia cards have built in audio encoders. The amp show up as a playback device in the Windows audio settings. Windows is set to send 5.1 audio to the amp. On the amp display it show it receive a 5.1 signal from the PC

All the audio from the game now comes out of the center speaker. There are some audio coming out from the other speakers but it's very very low.

There is no option change to stereo or anything in the game settings either.

Hmm, this is supposed to be the "enhanced" version. Can't say that it is.
Been using native 5.1 for decades. Played GTA 5 with it since the start, always sounded amazing and I always knew where a shot or a car sound was coming from.
But Enhanced only seems to have stereo now. I cant tell anymore if a sound is coming from the front or behind.
WTF is this supposed to be? Enhanced? More like broken.
