Removal of text chat severely inconveniences female players.

Hi Rockstar, I appreciate the free update, but removing text chat?! Really!?

Look, I'm going to be blunt: every time a woman talks in voice chat in an online game, particularly a mainstream one like this, it turns half of the male playerbase into coom-brained morons, and the other half insists that the speaker is either a little boy or fat. Or both.

Text chat is the only way to communicate and maintain some semblance of interest in the gameplay. Please fix this. This is absolutely preposterous that I even have to make this post.

OMG playing that game without text chat feels so empty and dead and wrong in so many ways, I hope they add it back. I could not say hi to my friends or talk to people like I did before the patch, yes you can send SMS (with a cool-down), yes you can use Social Club (akward to bring that up every time to read and write) yes you can use toosl like DC or Steam but people have all different tools to get all onto one platform isnt so straight forward. Best option would be bring back text with the option to disable it, and audiences under 18? should not have that enabled at all to avoid problems, but yeah how you check their real age etc.

Use Discord, play with your friend group. it's what i do as a male, text chat in GTA was toxic for all genders, and mostly racist ♥♥♥♥ being thrown around. i am for one glad it's gone, as it was distracting while doing stuff

rockstar added the ability to disable it, if you didn't use it then this doesn't affect you and kindly leave, alt tabbing to discord whilst playing is ridiculous on a multi million game with a multi billion game in the works

Just mute them. Listen the world doesn't cater to us. You were born a woman, I was born a certain race.....ignorant people are worldwide. There's no fix for ignorance. Just talk.....when I encounter ignorant people, which was nearly everyday on Legacy, I had to mute/block people all the time. Just something we have to deal with in this world unfortunately. Other than that, there's not much we can do about stupid people.

I'm mute, people are also deaf, anxious, etc, text chat is a basic game feature for decades

I was literally about to ask in GTA:O what people thought of the update to find no text chat..

I ain't using mic on it and I definitely don't want to listen to squeakers screaming at the top of their lungs after I shoot them for interfering in my Jobs.

Also the Text Chat removal isnt just for you, its a issue for everyone, people who are shy voicing themself, people who cant really speak english, but can type more properly, people who dont even own a mic etc.

Stop thinking for yourself, and think for the others too, thank you.
