120 FPS LOCK

Why is there 120 fps lock? It can't get any higher, and I have 144hz monitor.

Yes, there is a 120 fps lock now.

Higher FPS will cause softlocks/bugs/endless-loading in Heists/Missions. Rockstar is unable to fix the bugs since years, so they just locked it to 120 fps.

I'd rather be locked to 120 fps than be subject to engine bugs and softlocks.

bcz its originally a ps3 game, the animation not programmed for 144+ fps. this how rockstar milking this game for a decade. how shameless these guys are.

I have a 165hz 1440p monitor and I can't even reach 60 fps, my GPU (RTX 3070) and my CPU (R7 5800x) don't exceed 50% usage. I set everything on ultra and whether with DLSS + DLS or disabling it I get the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥ fps.

It seems like it's built in to the game that way, maybe they will change with an upcoming patch

If true, would rock so hard! My friends and I used to enjoy the game for over 500 hours before dropping it back in 2023, since we were fed up with softlocks mid-heist after doing hours of prepping, and the endless loadings were annoying as hell. This alone could actually make the 'Expanded and Enhanced' edition worth the wait...

Same setup for me and fps doesn't change whether its lowest settings or maxed out.

cheat egine with gernel level and hidden aybe to overweitte the set lock or use kernel anti chat fake with mod menu to have no anti cheat and then hack the limit out of the game

Try turning off raytracing..
