Here’s a small guide for those who can't transfer their GTA Online and Story Mode data, along with a short section on how to transfer your data from GTA 5 Legacy to Enhanced on PC.
Fix: Unable to Transfer GTA Online & Story Mode Data
If you’re having trouble transferring your progress in GTA Online or Story Mode, follow these steps:

For GTA Online:
Check Rockstar Services – Ensure Rockstar’s servers are online by checking their status.
Use the Correct Rockstar Account – You must use the same Rockstar Social Club account linked to your previous console or PC profile.
Check for Restrictions – If your GTA Online account was banned or flagged for cheating, it may be blocked from transferring.
Restart Your Game & Console/PC – Sometimes, a simple restart helps resolve connection issues.
Contact Rockstar Support – If all else fails, submit a ticket on the Rockstar Support page.
For Story Mode (Single Player Save Transfer):
Upload Save Data:
On your old platform, go to Pause Menu → Game → Upload Save Game in Story Mode.
Download on New Platform:
On the enhanced version, go to Pause Menu → Game → Download Save Game and retrieve your save.
Ensure Cloud Sync is Enabled – If using Steam or Rockstar Launcher, check your cloud save settings.

How to Transfer Data from GTA 5 Legacy to Enhanced on PC
The Enhanced Edition of GTA 5 on PC includes graphical improvements and performance boosts. To transfer your data:

Ensure You Own the Enhanced Edition – Purchase or upgrade to the new version.
Transfer GTA Online Progress – Log into your Rockstar account, and the game should prompt you to migrate your online profile.
Manually Transfer Story Mode Saves –
Copy your save from:
C:\Users\YourUsername\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V\Profiles
Paste it into the same directory on your new installation.
Check Graphics & Settings – The enhanced version offers Ray Tracing, DLSS, and other upgrades, so adjust your settings accordingly.

tip, also delete a legacy version one, after all those steps, for having no lags and bugs. <3

Apparently not. This is really stupid since a number of unadvised people will obviously have deleted the game to free up space for the new version already. And it doesn't even make sense because previous save progress is in the cloud (as well as local) so there's no real reason why you have to do it from within the Legacy version.

Same here Account got flaged 10 yrs ago and now I cant migrate
You need to go Online for the saves to migrate, not Single Player mode...
...also yes the Chat is gone idiotically because this is full console.

So while it is slightly prettier....
...I dunno if its totally worth it really.

To transfer the saves without downloading the legacy version, I copied the saves from the GTA V folder in documents and put in GTA V Enhanced, for me it worked out. Online is also working normally

For me it also worked well but the only inconvenience was a strange conflict between the cloud data and local data, but the local data was the right. Thank you so much.
If I migrate my account to the enhanced version, will I lose my character in the legacy version?
