Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced

Think an RTX 3070 can pull it?
Were talking with full ray tracing and max graphics. 1440p

EDIT UPDATE: After getting in game and testing myself, It ran great, slid everything to Ultra where it had the option and very high, ray tracing options on max. 1440p. Ran great, tested with driving around the city. Thought it would personally look better on a PC but doesnt look bad.

RTX 3070 8GB, i5 3.7ghz 10 core, 64gb ram, 1tb nvme samsung ssd.

As long as you're using directstorage (NVME) to put decompression on your GPU and take the head load off your CPU you should be fine running RT...

It's not RayTraced lighting. RT Shadows and Reflections are fairly lightweight.
there is ray traced lighting (Global Illumination) coming on the enhanced version

Global Illumination is not the same, we've had that for like a decade already in most titles and it's light weight compared to actual Ray-Traced Lighting, like that we see in Cyberpunk.

Or maybe learn how to read, op is asking if he can play at max graphics with RT enabled at 1440p, that will simply be impossible. It will run but nowhere near max settings, You are the troll.
It's a 10 year old game...adding RT and running it at 1440p is not impossible. Stop trolling, troll.

Another one who can't read, OP said max settings + full RT at 1440p, that will simply be impossible with an rtx 3070, if you want atleast 60 fps.

RT enabled with a 3070 will destroy FPS. My guess is that op can play at high/medium settings without RT.

What are you consuming? The 3070 can run GTA V (now Legacy) at 1440p at high fps. The only issue it could have with GTA (without ray tracing) is if it's paired with an older CPU, and it wouldn't even be its fault directly. GTA V (without ray tracing) has always been a CPU-bound game.
Go google about it or see the next video and stop making a fool of yourself.

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Both the CPU and GPU are crucial for GTA V especially with RT in the mix. Acting like only the CPU matters is just wrong. GTA has always been a mix of both and anyone who actually understands PC hardware knows that.

And yet here you are confidently spreading nonsense like some console player pretending to be a tech expert. We don’t even know how well RT is implemented in the enhanced version yet but I can guarantee a 3070 with a comparable CPU will NOT run it at max settings with RT enabled at 1440p. You're out here telling others to 'stop making a fool of themselves' while doing exactly that yourself. Maybe take your own advice and do some research before posting

Ha, ha, ha!, just read your previous answer: "My guess is that op can play at high/medium settings without RT."

You answered that without knowing his CPU and I just gave you proof that the 3070 has no problems with GTA V (without RT). The rest is just your nonsense. Don't answer again, it's useless to argue with you.
The 4070 Super or 7900 GRE should be fine to run the game at Max Settings with RT enabled, any GPU below this may have issues. 1440p Obviously.

probably, recommended is an rtx 3060 which is quite a bit slower than a 3070.

The rec specs on the store page are for 1080p on high... A 3060 ti isn't far off from his card dude.

bruh. i had a 3070 and it maxes out gta v legacy at 1440P with 8x MSAA and still got well over 100 fps nearly anywhere in the game.

you're acting like this is path tracing, it's not. its global illumination, RTAO, RT Shadows and some RT reflections all of those except global illumination run perfectly fine on the game consoles. his 3070 will be fine.

Global Illumination runs fine in any game in the past decade that I've played that used it.

It's not the same as RT Lighting as seen in Cyberpunk which will tank your FPS by upto 80% depending on your system.

my RTX 580 4GB will handle it fine

exactly, his 3070 will run this game just fine.

Haha, wow, the confidence of being wrong is actually impressive. Yes, I said OP can likely play at high/medium settings without RT, because a 3070 even with a decent CPU is not handling GTA V with full ray tracing and max settings at 1440p with high FPS. That's just a fact.

And your so called 'proof' is meaningless because you keep conveniently ignoring RT. Of course, a 3070 can run GTA V (without RT) at high FPS no one argued that. But pretending that means it can magically max out the enhanced version with full ray tracing? That's just pure copium.

Youre so desperate to act like an expert yet you completely miss the most important part of the discussion. Maybe instead of trying (and failing) to dismiss people with ‘don’t answer again you should take a step back and realize that you don’t actually know as much as you think you do. Because you're just proving my point.
