Think an RTX 3070 can pull it?
Were talking with full ray tracing and max graphics. 1440p

EDIT UPDATE: After getting in game and testing myself, It ran great, slid everything to Ultra where it had the option and very high, ray tracing options on max. 1440p. Ran great, tested with driving around the city. Thought it would personally look better on a PC but doesnt look bad.

RTX 3070 8GB, i5 3.7ghz 10 core, 64gb ram, 1tb nvme samsung ssd.

We also don't know how much of a VRAM hog this version will be like.
A 3070 probably only has 8G VRAM or less so might have to turn down texture quality.

second of all, like many other games out there you tweak the settings to you PC's specific specs so that you can balance out the graphics to your liking and therefore able to play the game.
If R* did not optimize this game properly then we can all point fingers at them. beyond that if your PC can handle the legacy edition with medium to high stettings you will be fine....just know that Ray tracing WILL tank FPS.
if it doesnt tank below 40fps with dlss balanced, im fine with it

texture quality will be the same, the extra VRAM is probably for RT

these fools telling you a 3070 wont run it. you guys are pathetic. your 3070 will do just fine at 1440p. maybe not at max settings. but youll be okay. dont listen to these trolls

Or maybe learn how to read, op is asking if he can play at max graphics with RT enabled at 1440p, that will simply be impossible. It will run but nowhere near max settings, You are the troll.
It's a 10 year old game...adding RT and running it at 1440p is not impossible. Stop trolling, troll.
stop being silly ofc a 3070 will run gta5 fine what kinda troll post is this lmao
I have ps5 and it's not that different. The rt is barely noticeable so I think you're fine it's not path tracing after all. As long as you got good cpu since i'm sure this game more cpu heavy than gpu.

these dumdums that say you can't run it maxed on 3070 lmao. I forget how clueless most pc users are.

3080 or bust

GTA V has so far been a game that is more CPU-bound than GPU-bound. In a few hours we'll know what will happen with. So, anyway, it's not enough to just post your GPU.
As long as you're using directstorage (NVME) to put decompression on your GPU and take the head load off your CPU you should be fine running RT...

It's not RayTraced lighting. RT Shadows and Reflections are fairly lightweight.

RT enabled with a 3070 will destroy FPS. My guess is that op can play at high/medium settings without RT.

What are you consuming? The 3070 can run GTA V (now Legacy) at 1440p at high fps. The only issue it could have with GTA (without ray tracing) is if it's paired with an older CPU, and it wouldn't even be its fault directly. GTA V (without ray tracing) has always been a CPU-bound game.
Go google about it or see the next video and stop making a fool of yourself.

Yes you'll be fine.
The QUESTION is what you define as max graphics. To give merely one example, consider the difference between post fx very hgigh and Ultra under water:
