Is it even worth installing just for story mode?

I am just wondering if this is even worth installing if you're one of the many that do not play GTA Online and only play Story mode as other than a few graphical upgrades which may/may not work on your PC there seems like little real reason to switch from Legacy.

Yeah of course. I don't play GTAO at all. I only played GTA V back in 2015 when it came out. I'm very much excited to replay the story with enhanced graphics. Raytracing shadows, AO and reflections from the consoles as well as RT global illumination which is new and exclusive to the PC version. I'm very curious to see how it will look like.

No there is no new single player content.

But gta v is a pretty good story, that ive already played through once on ps3, and twice on pc.

Im definitely gonna replay it and enjoy the graphics upgrade without spending hours trying to get a enb preset to look not nearly as good.

I will likely give the multiplayer another go, thinking of making a new character but I havent made up my mind yet. But if its all just still a bunch of loading screens with next to impossible tasks with random strangers, then ill pass again.

I don't know about your experience but in my (extremely limited as of the last few days) experience on the legacy version I didn't run into anybody who was being a cheating asshat, though ymmv and all that. The anti-cheat seems to have at least done something about the sheer volume of cheaters in pubs.

It's been a while so I'm definitely going to give the single player mode another run through with the enhancements, it's a great game

Sunk quite a few hours into the online back in the day but the cheaters were getting out of control so I came away from it. Has been a long time so not sure what it's been like recently

The thing for me, at least, is I've played/completed the story on PS3, PS4, PS5 and PC multiple times, at this point I would guess I have completed it at least 8 times across generations and iterations, so as nice as the new graphics mat be, played already on PS5, and if you are limiting the graphics to that, then is it really worth it considering the limitations of consoles compared with PC's?

If you play vanilla, then yes.

If you play modded, then no. Mods are leagues above the enhanced edition.

The only reason why I don't use story mods myself, is because it's pointless with Rockstar constantly breaking mods.
