is there or will there be a way to skip the intro?

doubt it lol
you could probably go into the game files and delete/rename the intro videos though. works for other games with unskipable intros, not sure about this one.

There's GTA5-SkipIntro on GitHub but I'm hesitant to modify the game's update.rpf file as I think Rockstar counts that as tampering and I wouldn't want to get banned.

Make a back up copy of file..since you have a back up copy..if the orig file get ruin..you still have THE CORTECT DATA
