Where do the preload files save to?

I'm a little confused here, it downloads the game somewhere but you can't play it and the folder is empty. I'm assuming it is saved somewhere weird. I downloaded 90 gb and have no files I can find. Asking because I want to backup the files somewhere else while I wait for the update to come out

you cant backup preload files, they are encrypted. you can back them up once it comes out

steam / steamapps / depotcache IIRC. Since preload - likely encrypted and not base files.
