If you don't plan to play with friends that can't run the new builld or you don't play with mods, you can uninstall the legacy edition.

The legacy edition is for those that can't run the game under the new requirements or they play modded V ( FiveM etc ) until support for modding is extended to the enhanced edition later through patching.
i see, so i can keep the legacy one for FiveM and have the Enhanced one for story?

Exactly :)

separate clients yep.

If you don't play with mods, you can safely uninstall Legacy and install enhanced.

but if you plan to play modded aswell as enhanced, You'll need to keep both copies installed.
can my friends play with me if i have enhanced and they have legacy?

nope, if your friends can't run enhanced, you'll have to stick with Legacy to play with them in GTAO
