It'll have to extract first then you'll get the true install size + whatever you download as a patch to make the game go live.
I'm definitely expecting enhanced to be bigger, legacy is around 120gb and that's without the better fire and smoke shaders and the raytracing stuff.
The system requirements on enhanced says 110gb free space will be required but also that future patches will increase the size further...
Soooo take from that what you will, I've cleared 250gb from my nvme just to make sure I've got enough storage for extracting and installing.
Ray Traced Shadows should fix the long standing cascades issue I've had where at a distance you can see shadows rendering in on distant geometry and chainlink fences having weird shadow fade in effects on them, just a very small nitpick but none the less I can finally stop gawking at them.
IIRC Console version only got RT reflections and shadows so the game still uses old school static lights for the game world, We're getting raytraced global illumination which is a whole other ballgame when it comes to lighting, And RT Ambient occlusion too so shadowed areas will have much more realistic depth of shadows and shading where light sources can't seem to reach.
Gonna guess with the RTGI, we'll get realistic bounce lighting too, so if you shine a flashlight at a red car next to a white wall, the light will reflect to the white wall with a red hue.
Game changer when it comes to lighting.
No is same. Need buyng it again on another account.
