I get that its basically gta with cooler features, but why couldnt they just add that into the original version. Its not about engine miss match or lack of compatibility so why does THIS exist???

People with medium-high end rigs can play this new Enhanced Edition. And those with low-spec systems can still play the original version. Everyone wins. So what exactly is your gripe?

This is essentially a content/bug fix/feature patch that should of been added to the original version now dubbed "Legacy", but they're doing it this way so they can sell it again to suckers for an increased price over the original.
Keep in mind the Original versions price was $30 US. Watch this turn out to be $60 US.

I wouldn't call this a "Free Update" when it should have been updated as soon as current gen consoles got this version lmfao. Though I guess crap like this is normal on PC which is BS but that's a different conversation altogether.

Possibly because people who bought the game might not be able to play the "upgraded" version due to hardware limitations.

Pretty sure there would be legal challenges suddenly freezing some people out of the game that they purchased.

The 'Legacy' version needs to coexist with the new one for sake of compatibility with older software and hardware. This way people who can't run these new features or want to use older mods aren't locked out of the game. It's simple as that.
