I would much prefer them to just update normal GTA V on steam (I'm hoping that will happen by launch) but having two is just bad. I like counting my hours on the game and having 2 versions of the game as different games will just be hella confusing

Man, if only the answer to this question was in the announcement post, and on the store page, and in various threads already here, and in the 8th reply on this thread. Alas, I guess we'll just never know...

All I can say is...

If you have an uberpowerful PC, use enhanced.
If you're still locked on that 2017 laptop, use legacy.

That way people who can run enhanced and people who can't will still be able to play GTAV. And like, you can just import your saves from legacy to enhanced so the only annoyance is deleting and redownloading but it's a small price to pay for my dualsense haptic

Separate game is much better than replacing the old version. Valve made the mistake of replacing CS:GO with CS2 and it ruined CS imo. Good job Rockstar, you are better at game preservation than Valve.

Games that are complex as GTA V are very difficult to rewrite to make them work with DirectX 12 without errors. Plus, there are still players with a low spec GPU such as GTX 1050ti.

Yea i was surprised the gtx 1630 is the min req gpu... i literally had no idea that existed until i googled the gpu and saw some vids (it isnt far or my gtx 1650 anyway )
