Mission XII: Smuggler's Hijack bugged?
So I've been playing through the game pretty smoothly until I made it to the Mission XII and thus what's supposed to be a simple 20-minutes-max mission became a 1 hour+ process of inspecting a variety of walkthroughs and running around the level to no avail.

Basically, after reaching the "honeycomb panel" area overlooking the exterior I am supposed to hit the switch on the panel, come back all the way through the cylinder courtyard to the outer ring in order to use newly opened door, get the elevator going and reach the white room to finish the mission.

Problem is, despite hitting the panel switch the elevator door are still closed. At first I thought I could have missed something else on the way, but it would appear that's not the case. I intend to give it another try by speedrunning tomorrow, but for now I am just wondering if someone had a similar experience.

Aye, replaying the mission did help and I completed it in no time. Just as a warning, it does look like hitting the "honeycomb" switch on and off repeatedly (was testing it) might lead to a level-breaking bug.

Thanks for this thread. Sorry to necro but this totally stumped me, and this thread saved me. and yeah can confirm hitting the switch that moves the tunnel more than once will cause the tunnel to get stuck in it's original position forcing you to restart the level.

They did not take this out of the remaster either. Thanks for helping me figure that out.

There is an issue with the script that operates that switch. If you press it multiple times it would flip the door so it would show up as closed on the switch but open in game and vice versa. This has been patched https://df-21.net/downloads/patches.php

I don't ever use cheat codes, but I was too lazy to restart the level because of a stupid bug.

CHEAT CODE:

LANTFH

HOW TO:

Teleports you to the centered point in map (if it's defined/revealed) (the TAB map, not the F1 one; you can move it while holding "~" and pressing the arrow keys, change levels with "[" and "]" and zoom in/out with "-" and "=" keys). (If you're using the default DOSBOX configuration, you will want to hold "~" while typing or you will move if typing any of the WASD and the map will recenter before you teleport).

If you're at the bugged door, teleport yourself back to the room with the honeycomb panel. Use the switch, teleport back to where you were....boom done. If the door is still closed, repeat the above steps. For me, the door opened even when the moving platform was in the wrong position and I was able to complete the mission.
