in yt the gameplay is smooth, in my pc the games runs like 12 fps. my pc is not a potato so help

Try changing your dosbox cpu cycles. Go to your game install folder

Ex: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dark Forces\
and open dosbox.conf

change your cycles to 60000 or higher.

dude, THANK YOU. I was playing the game like intended, it was old school and stuff but that change to the cycles....superb :)
