hello everyone, any chance for this game to run with XboX360 controller?

It will not work with an Xbox 360 controller because the game was made in 1995, which is before the Xbox 360 released.

ehm, time is not a determining factor when it comes to computers. The XboX360 controller can be used to play games of the 70's and 80's, with the proper software. I was just wondering if someone made such hack for Dark Forces, that is.

Dark Forces is a keyboard and mouse game. Even that description isn't totally accurate. You can enable mouselook, but it doesn't feel very good to control. I have always played it with the only the arrow keys (although fairly certain you can use WASD) and then a couple other keys to tilt the camera up and down (which was a major difference from other 2.5d shooters when it was released).

say what? I've played this game with joystick back in the days! :)

it -should- be possible to have dosbox emulate xbox pad as a 4-button 4-axis joystick and use the games setup exe to redefine controls. but you'll have to launch dosbox by hand and mount the game folder to do so

Yes its possible, but it was always terrible.

Game was disigned for DOS. DOS was before windows 7, Windows XP, Windows 98, Windows 95, and even Windows 3.1....

You can use Joy to Key[joytokey.net], but the game obviously doesn't have in-built support for modern controllers.
