Is there any way to reliably take out the autoturrets without taking any damage/taking minimal damage?
I'm currently on the fourth mission of the game, and everything's been goign smoothly so far. Up to the point where the turrents show up at least. It seems that I can't take out one without being hit at least three times, and seeing that they deal a ridiculous amount of damage (at least on Hard mode), that there's nothing I can do once they spot me.

Even when sneaking up on them, shots tend to scatter all over the place and there's no true indicator as to whether I'm actually hitting them or wasting my ammo.

Does anyone have any advice on this? I've tried searching the web and previous posts but couldn't find anything on this, so I thought I'd ask.

Hi,

The best way to kill them is to equip either the Bryar Pistol (1) or the Repeater (5). What you do is get around a corner from the turret. Using either the Mouselook Mod or Page Up/Page Down button to look up and aim at the turret's height, STRAFE back and forth between the hallway with the turret and behind the corner to safety. As you strafe into the line of sight of the turret, shoot once and immediately strafe back behind the corner. Wait for the turret to reset. Eventually, if you do enough damage it will start shooting wildly so you just need to hit it once or twice to finish it off.

The key thing is really strafing more than any weapons.

The mouselook mod is here and makes it a LOT easier to kill those things --> https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2311190593

Furthermore, here is the youtube walkthrough of the map --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzvw3aZOND4&list=PL4V3Cs5q0vBtCFVcbhnonnfkYxzq8AugT&index=4

Good Luck.

Thanks for the helpful advice! Once mastering how to use strafe, the game ends up becoming a lot easier. The cheap placement of some of the turrents in the later missions can be annoying when you don't know what to expect, although by now (I'm on the eighth level atm), I think I'm starting to dread the mines a lot more (I did not expect their blast radius to be so massive).
