Night Vision googles mission 4

So, just in the middle of mission 4 entering some pretty dark vents...and can't get the night vision googles aka f2 to work despite that they had worked 30 second earlier....

So any idea how to get them to work short of restarting the game all over when they bug out?

Solved it by firing my blaster pistol every so often for a second of light :D

It's possible you ran out of battery power while using them. Having the goggles or your flashlight on drains battery power slowly (the goggles drain faster than the light) - if you look in the bottom right display, there are 5 bright green lights that slowly turn dark green as you drain power from them. Batteries can be found at various points in the levels, usually amongst other powerups.

(the most common reason for a drained battery is accidentally leaving your flashlight on - you can toggle it with f5)
