and now no hardend boner...
You can restore normal scenes with a patch as usual, but that stuff isnt included. They entirely removed the hardcore fetish stuff, due to wokie regulations lol. Makes one wonder, whats the point of a specific fetish VN, when they take all that content out. Cant believe even eroge have to suffer from this bs now. Nothings safe anymore
The game is being sold on Jast, from there alone it looks like the same depraved content you'd expect from this franchise
I wouldn't take sankaku complex at face value, they are very click baity and love to stir the drama pot
In the online DRM free World of visual novel distribution, there isn't really any 'regulations', anything goes. I recently played 'dead days' and that's a truly messed up visual novel (like everything clock up releases), one thing I can say is no one was regulating that
After some poking around on the internet it seems more likely that it was censored in order to release it on DMM - a Japanese site.
Source would be Kitty-Tama who has worked as QC/singer on other games and loves this franchise.
Secondly lol, Steam just banned a Visual Arts title a few days ago. They're owned by Tencent now, and it was an all-ages title. There's also the ones Steam has banned from Shiravune that were less dark than this one. I recently discussed Shiravune's approach on their discord with another user.
Basically what we agreed on was that Shiravune cut more after their first game (Meteor World Actor, the first one, not the one on Steam now) got the ban hammer from Steam, and then went for full-on gutting after the second, a game (Dungeon Travelers) that was sold in the stores in the States years ago was banned.
So yeah, the Steam approval process is a bit like a roulette. Just cause some dark ones get through doesn't mean everything gets through. Valve is, like it or not, the taste police. Which is a bummer cause I'd have loved to have Muramasa, MWA, DT, Amatsutsumi, Angelic Chaos, and so on be on here.
Edit:
To be fully transparent here's what Kitty-Tama wrote:
But for what it's worth the HCGs mirror that of Reprint+ from what I saw
I refuse to call those scenes normal, original intent is probably better
Then why did the devs announce changes for ethical reasons? Like, Sankaku didnt pull that out of their asses, its literally in a Shiravune announcement. Can anyone confirm what has been changed?
Can you provide me a link/source where they announced it was censored for ethical reason?
Manga gamer on their store page still says the game contains scat etc. It doesn't look compromised from what I can see. Bought my copy from them anyway. Had a load of points saved up so barely cost me anything, lol
Pretty sure it was on their Discord, I left tho
Just from the screenshots posted on Manga gamer's website alone, it must be the Worlds most lenient 'ethical regulator' because clearly no sweet F's were given. This game looks totally messed up and that's great, lol
