Endless Cheating...
People getting insane wave clears. 2 weeks ago I was like "woahh" I need to grind harder! but after the wave 200 post with bad gear I couldn't believe it... Couple of minutes later I found a cheat table\trainer for cheat engine. Tried it. and it kinda works...

- Rare Item Chance -------------------- 5 (500%) (didn't work for me)
- Rolls ------------------------------------ 2000 (works)
- Projectile Amount--------------------- 5 (500%) (works if you have a bow)
- Attack Speed--------------------------- 5 (500%) (works)
- Power------------------------------------ 1500 (works)
- Crit Chance----------------------------- 1 (100%) (works)

This means the endless wave clear isn't a clear contest anymore.

I've not gone past my previous records of 40, 49 and 45 iirc

This isn't a call for anti cheat but just a message to the hard working gamers!!

I think the enemies stop scaling after wave 60ish? So if you keep going it keeps getting easier. Wave 80 was harder than wave 100. After enough damage stacking even the bosses start melting instantly.

Anyway if I was cheating why wouldn't I have used 5 perfect gold gear pieces? While the passives from gold gear can be nice at the start, they pale in comparison to 2000% power ability damage modifier on armor that I had (it's multiplicative). Add dual wield cleave that has 500% reach + 500% attack speed and you start generating ridiculous amounts of energy per swing.

Leaderboards have never been a contest 'cause they've always been cheated.
This is a single player game. People are welcome to cheat at their own leisure because it is their game (or will be once it's launched) and has 0.00 affect on anyone else.

Being upset because people are bragging after using cheats doesn't change the fact that they have the right to use them (in single player) and everyone has the right to dismiss the claims of someone using cheats.

"Back in my day" cheats used to be programmed into games. I still have the muscle-memory to type [100% HP] and [give all guns] into GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas on a PS2 controller. It was fun and a great way to extend gameplay after game completion. Albeit bragging over accomplishments via cheating isn't "right" there's no reason to get upset over it...

Even if we disregard the triple digit ones as cheats 49 isn't a very good record.

The fact we are comparing scores means we are playing multiplayer, if you cheat your scores should be discarded. If a cheater does try to put their as legitimate it hurts the community.

yes cheaters need to be punished by their game copy being revoked with no refund provided
i don't think they're cheating, but i personally haven't been able to replicate their success or even really get close, once i get to round ~60 the lag (on my 4090) is so bad that it's basically unplayable, and certainly not fun, and with around 1500% power ability bonus i can't deal with the mobs, i guess they're just getting really insane luck stacking power ability bonus to like 4000% by wave 60? i don't know
