STAR WARS™ Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II

Crazy mouse
Finally got the game running aaaaaaand... as soon as I try to move the mouse it just looks down/up (depending on inversion) and shakes like crazy, no matter what I do with the mouse it just shakes around like crazy... tried playing with configurations and can't seem to find a fix.

I have the same exact problem. I can't seem to find any help for it either. Did you fix it yet?

Nope, I think I might need extensive mods to run it

Put your mouse settings like this, Mouse X Axis Turn Left/Right....... Y Axis Pitch Up/Down..... dont invert mouse and it should work normally

dont use a resolution over 800x600
Just turned off inverted axis for up/down mouse (for anyone else reading this, you have to click the y axis separately in the mouse control options, then the reverse direction will become ticked, untick it) also changed resolution to 800×600 and worked perfectly , no issues, so a big thanks to the above guys for their replies

For anyone coming here with this issue (since this is the first result on Google), you can try telling Windows to not scale DPI automatically, and let the program do it.

Go to where steam has installed the game (right click it in your steam library > properties > local files > browse local files) and right click your JediKnight executable.

Select properties > Compatibility > Change high DPI settings

Under High DPI scaling override, check the box that says "Override high DPI scaling behavior, Scaling performed by:" and make sure the drop down box has selected "Application"

hit OK, then Apply.

Restart your game.

(then do the other fixes of "Map directly to axis", and move each axis' sensitivity to the desired position)

Should let you play at any resolution with JkGfxMod as well and not have any issues, since the game is handling all the scaling.

I got the GOG version, but I also found that setting the resolution to 800*600 solved the mouse issue on Windows 11.
