Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II Windows 10 fix

Since the Jedi Knight series is on sale. I want to buy it, but I read reviews saying that Dark Forces II does not work properly with modern hardware. My questions are: Is there an easy fix for an amature PC gamer like myslef? And Is the game worth it?

the game is worth it and it does work on win 10, only issue i am having with it is i want it windowed mode but it apparently doesnt, still works though no crashes that i have experienced ... yet

I cant get this game to load. I will watch and see if someone much smarter than I comes up with something.

it just worked for me as soon as i updated to win 10 (though windowed mode decided not to work anymore)

Yeah this took me forever to try and configure. Got it to a /playable/ state and cheated Jedi duels. Would periodically drop to 10fps.
