Mod Installer Broken - FIX

So i was going to install some mods so i open you the mod installer and it says error 911 first responders is not propely installed is there any fix it it

Found a fix:

1. Start regedit by selecting Start - Run, typing in 'regedit' and then
hitting 'OK'.

2. Select 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE' and press the '+' button to its left to
expand the list.

3. Next, select 'SOFTWARE' and press the '+' button to its left to expand
the list.

4. Right-click on 'SOFTWARE' and select New > Key.
Enter the new key name: sixteen tons entertainment

5. Right-click on 'sixteen tons entertainment' and select New > Key.
Enter the new key name: Emergency 4

6. Right-click on 'Emergency 4' and select New > String value.
Enter the new key name: Installdir

7. Right-click on 'Installdir' and select Modify.
In the 'Value Data' field, C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\911 First Responders


Start over with step 2 only now use 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER'

Now, exit the registry editor by selecting the File menu and then clicking exit.

Yes works for me
But you have to do HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and HKEY_CURRENT_USER

Hi all,

We are investigating this and thank you to the community for find a fix so quickly! We will see if we can get a fix live via an update or if this is the best way to handle this. We have found that not all users are affected only a limited set but we are happy to say that we have seen reports from other users of this fix working as well.

Just wondering if anyone could help me out. I followed the above steps and the installer will actually start now, however everytime I download a mod from emergency planet and try and install it thourhg the installer i get a message saying the mod is corrupted, however on mods like teh Manhatten mod where I just drag the folder in it works fine

I just bought the game and tried to install the LA mod but when i try install it says cant find the right location, it then carries on the installation but it doesnt seem to work, i tried to install it in the steam directory then 911 mods file but dont seem to have the new units and map looks the same when i go to mods on the option screen it says theres a mod there but unkown author.I heard the LA mod should work ok, any ideas?

Also i jumped into free mode and i dont seem to have any other options apart from getting in and out of a vehical.

when it says it cant find the directory, its normal. when you get to the part where it shows where it needs to be installed, find the 911 fr directory, but dont install it in the mods folder, just leave it like this : http://i.imgur.com/YCkjQsP.png

it should work now.
