Unable to change resolution
Seems i'm unable to drop down to 1920x1080 when playing on a surround setup.
Normally i would just keep it in surround but as the hud isn't centered and the game seems to be designed around 16:9 (See attached image) it's kinda distracting and difficult to enjoy.

Hi Nix, this is indeed an issue! On what OS are you playing?
Nix Sep 30, 2015 @ 3:30pm
I'm on Windows 7, I'm happy to provide other screenshots/measurements/info if it'll help.

Screen is handled mostly by Unity but there is a few thing we could try. First can you try running the game in windowed mode (alt-enter) or in video settings and then restarting the game? You might be able to select more resolution when in windowed mode as we are only displaying what Unity consider as user valid resolution.

I dropped into windowed mode with no changes to resolution options
Re-starting the game while windowed also leaves me with 5760x1080 as the only option.

Alright, there is an Unity launcher hidden by default. If you hold alt when starting the game you should see it. Now I had incorrectly saved the resolution in my own options files, so it probably won't have any effect. This should be fixed tomorrow but in the meantime you have 2 options. The first one is to delete your option save file (located in C:/User/YourName/LocalLow/Thunder Lotus Games/Jotun) or opt-in my game test branch.

To do the later go into your steam game properties, select the beta tab and enter the followin password: jotuntestresolution. Then select Test from the dropdown list. This should get you tomorrow update today.

After that start the game with the launcher (hold alt) and select an appropriate resolution. Sorry for the inconvenience!

No worries, i'll give the test branch a try and report back.
Surround setups arn't too common so expecting things to work with them on launch would be silly :p

Thanks for your time there

I should really think of blacking out part of extra wide setup. It kind of breaks the game! =P

Update:

All working great in a windowed now.

Fullscreen stretches the selected resolution to 5760x1080, but that's a unity bug that's common to all unity games I play. The game still displays the wrong resolution in game, but in all honesty once it's playable it's not a problem anyway.

Cheers!

Great, glad you got it to work!

FYI, I was also unable to change my screen resolution. Running Windows 10 on a Surface Pro 3. Jotun automatically set itself at 2160x1440 and wouldn't let me change it, windowed mode or otherwise. I was able to set a different resolution by launching in Unity mode, then I was able to change it in-game after that. This seems like something that should be fixed in an upcoming patch?
hi, same probleme here, I cant set the game for 2560x1080, the option doesnt allow me to reach next to 1920x1080... any idea?

Hmm you can try holding alt while launching the game, you'll get Unity launch window and it should allow you to select a monitor/resolution.

thanks but it doesnt allow me to select higher than 1920... theres something wrong somewhere

I have too screens, I noticed that automaticly the game is launching from the wrong monitor, allways my second which is 24' 1920x1080, i had to disable the second screen to launch the game for the main monitor which is 35' 2560x1080. But with your alt technic im now able to select the good monitor. But its strange that the game recognize my first monitor as second one, and in ocntrary the second as first... I dont know if its the issue but that's what happened.

win8.1
gtx670pe
i7 3770k
benqxr3501 as first and main monitor
prolite 24' as second...

So even with alt if you select the right monitor it won't allow you to select a higher resolution?
