Game length/replay value?
Any sort of progression?
The aesthetic looks dope but I can't come to droppin' almost 15 freedombacks on something with no MP that I'd beat in 3 hours.

What say you, bros?

That 3 hours is more like 5-6.

Progression: You can pick up apples to increase ur max health, and there's like 6-7 different multi charged skills u can use, mainly against bosses.

Replay value.. Honestly, nothing.

I liked my 6 hours with the game, but I have absolutely no reason to go back and play it again.

They will release newgame+ sometimes, that might change things, who knows.

I found and collected everything in around 4 hours then just had to kill all the Jotun's so its around 5-6 hours based on how hard you have against a boss. Some had a hard time against the dwarf mama while i killed her in one try. Meanwhile the Storm Jotun gave me the hardest time. The game is worth the 14 bucks seeing how 10 bucks is how much a 2 hour movie would be. Plus as Omenpapa just said they announced theyre working on achievements and New Game+ with afterwards maybe DLC with more Jotuns or already starting a sequel.

As was mentionned, most players finish the game in around 4 to 6 hours. The gameplay we went for does not offer much replayability unless you like hunting down achievements. We did our best to make those interesting, but wether or not Jotun would feel like a worthwhile experience to you probably depends on what kind of game you are looking for.

If you like what you see in the screenshots, you can always give it a go. If you're unsure about the game after fighting the first of the game's bosses, feel free to just ask for a refund. Most players reach Jera in around 20-30 minutes, which leaves you plenty of time to decide if you feel this game is worth your hard earned money (Steam gives you 2 hours of playtime to ask for it).

Either way, thanks for checking it out!

So tired of this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ industry fad of 4-8h games and to top it off with no replayability as well.

And im tired of braindead shooters, with oh so innovative multiplayer and softporn dating simulators swarming the market.

This game is pure gold and it can be clearly seen that devs put their heart into it.

It's short, but it's a sweet ride into norse mythology - with some really well done hand drawn visuals, great voice acting and atmospheric soundtrack. It's just a great package overall.

To the OP - I was thoroughly exploring and enjoying the experince so far, I'm at the storm jotun now, and it took me 4 hours. There are still several zones to visit, and that's without replaying every boss battle for achievements. I should say that the boss battles are absolutely glorious - each boss has it's own mechanics that make the fight interesting and unique.
