How to know which place I have finished?

Hey, didn't play for a long time, so I came back to save game.
I remember there was some way of knowing which part of map I finished.
Is there a way? Does anyone knows?

In Gunningagap, the hub world, there are minimaps of each area with icons on them. An icon will light up if you've found whatever it's marking. If an icon isn't lit, you still need to find whatever it's marking.
