Small tip for the final boss, the projectiles can be destroyed by hitting them.

Hagalaz was tough, but she is nothing compared to taking down the All Father without God Powers. That is the last achievement I need for all 33. Haven't even gotten close yet. Too many spears. Yes, you can destroy them, but that requires set-up with an overhead smash. I prefer to dodge them and damage Odin. Eventually you will be constantly dodging spears and never getting close to Odin. Very frustrating.

Even when destroying the spears as single throws, Odin eventually throws them in threes. I've had up to nine spears tracking me at once before I've died.

You do not need an overhead smash to destroy the spears, a normal attack will do. Doing this achievement while dodging is pretty much trying two achievements at the same time!

If I use Loki's decoy or Odin's spear before the god's health bar appear and then it takes away some hp, will it count as no god power has been used?

Hmm trick question, I believe it does not count no. The achievement start tracking when the health bar appears.

Thank you ClockworkXl. Destroying the spears with a normal swing made all the difference. Also thank you Mess, you are able to drop two decoys and throw two Odin spears before Odin's health appears without penalty for the "Shun the Gods" achievement. Just figure out the timing after a restart and stepping up to Odin's boot. Destroy every spear as it closes while standing next to Odin if possible. You can destroy the spear and knick Odin's health with the same swing. When closing after he throws the spear/s you have time for one overhand chop before the spears come back around. I've a question, how can I not "knock down" Hagalaz?
I mean, when I did enough damage she's Knock Down... or there is a right moment when I've to wait and deal no damage ?

EDIT: is being hit by Odin spear cancel the success to not break any spears ?

Hagalaz is different than the other bosses. The knockdown is not triggered by damage.

there is two things that will knock her down:

1. Activating all 4 lightning pillars.
2. When there's two of them and they hit themselves with the hyper beam.

Being hit by Odin's spear does not fail the achievement. What will is hitting them with your axe or godpowers. Similarly Loki power getting it by the spear will not fail it. But it exploding and destroying them will.

The pillar are activated by lightning damage. So either the boss attacks or Thor Hammer activation. You cannot shut them down. They turn off when all 4 are actives.

You can trigger the pillars with Thor?!! I wish I would've known that before grinding for Time Trial/No Damage haha

And here I was thinking I had every fight completely figured out... I guess I still have a long way to go before the Gods are truly impressed.
