What are panoramas in this game?

We call panoramas the moments when the camera pans out to reveal a vista. You can find those you're missing by looking at the map in Ginungagap after defeating an area's boss. Any icon that is dim is something you've passed. Once you visit them all, you will obtain the completionist achievement.
