SW: Starfighter doesn't start

I purchased the game with the last Humble Bundle. When the launcher starts, it asks me to install the game and if i try the game says there is no setup.exe found so the game won't start.

Any solutions, please?

i just got this from humble as well, cant even get to launcher though, i can see it running in background processes when i attempt to start it up but nothing more, hope someone knows fix to both our problems :S

I set both EXEs to XP compatibility mode + admin in W764. Seemed to do the trick.

You shouldn't need to i didn't change anything and it just works on a 980 so it should work on pretty much anything i would have thought if it works on latest cards. The only thing i did was uninstalled all external video players and set default to windows media player. This was a solution for another game so not sure if that had a bearing on this one or not but worth a shot if people can't start the game.
