Please Insert CD... what CD?

Has anyone else come across this? Does anyone know how to fix it? I can't start the game because it asks for the cd.

I have the solution, go to this website: http://m0004.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_sw_star_fighter.shtml#Star Fighter v1.0 [ENGLISH] No-CD Patch

Download the Star Fighter v1.0 [English] file, extract it to the Star Fighter game directory, replacing the original Starfighter.exe with the one you just downloaded. This is the only solution I could find.

I am having the same problem, and Steam support didn't provide any solution.

It is ironic that we have to download a pirate version to play a game we have paid for.

Yeah I am a little hesitant to download a patches and things for games I have paid for. Couldn't find any thing anywhere apart from the less than legal way of doing it.

Admittedly I haven't bothered with the game since then. I'll try it later today and post my results.

you shouldn't need to do that. I would try reinstalling the game.
