Different controls
For whatever reason, the defualt controls switched and I'm having a hard time getting used, does anyone know why its happening and how it can be stopped?

It should be possible to remap the controls, but not in the game itself. Assuming your game behaves the same way as mine, when you launch the game from the steam console, a dialogue box should appear, where you would normally click 'Start Game' . From this box there is an 'Option Button' and from here you can remap controls outisde of the game on the 'Configurations Menu'. It's a clunky way of doing it but it is an old game now and that was the way of doing things once upon a time.

that doesn't allow you to change the axis orientations on your mouse. Anybody know how to do that?

Isn't there an invert controls option?

Only for a joystick. Personally, I don't like joystick orientation on a mouse. When I have a joystick (which I currently don't), pushing forward should pitch the nose down. When I have a mouse, I want moving the mouse up to pitch the nose up.

Only semi-related, but the tutorial is only semi-useful. It tells you what to do, but not how to do it. "Use your boost and break functions to follow the drone through the canyon." Great, but I don't know what keys those are bound to and two full minutes of keyboard bashing yielded no results. That's not such a big deal; I can look at the keymap in the config utility and discover what keyboard keys are set to boost and break. But the inability to re-orient the mouse axes is a total game-breaker.

Okay, that's a half-truth. My lack of a functional joystick is a total game-breaker. Being able to re-orient the mouse axes would help me convince myself I can sorta enjoy this game without a joystick.
