How to deal with super armour bosses?
As it says.

What's a good way to deal with these guys? I completed the main story earlier, and whenever I came across these, I just spammed ki blasts until the super armour broke, then combo'd them as much as I could before it refreshed. Rinse and repeat.

I just made a Frieza Race as my second character, and if he had been my first, I have no idea how I would have beaten these bosses due to how their ki strikes work.

Is there any reliable way of dealing with super armour?

Going into melee is pretty suicidal as they can strike back at any time. Considering they will have way more health than you, you can't afford to trade blows.

It also seems that they are immune to throws, as whenever I attempted it, my character would lunge at them, grasping at air while right next to them.

I don't know if stunning attacks work. Frieza ki blasts and Saturday Crash are the only attacks I am aware of that have this property. Maybe also Solar Flare?

Hitting them with Ki Supers seems to work, so I assume super armour lasts for a certain amount of health. However, unless you are Earthling, getting the ki can be tricky. Melee is dangerous and since you seemingly are unable to control them (ie throw them down) you don't get much, or any, time to use Charge Up.

So how do you deal with this cheap nonsense?

Use pose K or pose F to get super armor yourself. I prefer pose K for pve myself because pose F will use your stamina as health, and some pve enemies can mysteriously drain it in two hits. I run a cac with Pose K(full no stagger) and Pose H(defense up to make up for the def down that comes with pose K).

If you use these poses, Or the mach dash evasive, also equip Ginyu's soul "Aren't I nice". This will make your poses last longer and increase your stamina regen and the amount of ki you get when attacking and getting hit. It pretty much acts like the "Might as Well" dlc soul in terms of stamina and ki.

Maybe I'm using the wrong word. By super armour I mean where they don't flinch when hit. Even if you have that yourself, going toe to toe, surely you'd still lose due to their much larger health pools?

Nope, you just need to hit them *really* hard.

You are using the correct term. Chances are you will hit them many more times than they will hit you. Only very few of the later opponents are very aggressive. Also, you can use healing capsules to restore HP. Lastly, using pose K does not mean you can throw yourself in front of the enemy and take all their punches. This is a mistake often done in pvp. You should still try to avoid damage. The no flinch you get from the pose will help you move out of their damage zone if they are using more powerful attacks that would otherwise stagger you.

Beams and volley ki attacks are the way to go. SOmething like Die Die Barrage is specially effective, because it multi hit really quickly, crumbling the super armor again. YOu just need to be careful, because the S-Armor come back after a while. So :

Multi-hit ki attack> Land in a few melee combos> Back off as soon as he doesn't flinch> rince and repeat.

Really, it's because of super armor that I choose to play a Spamming Saiyan. The guy that thought that S-armor needed to be in the game need to be shoot, ASAP.

I usually just keep hitting them with melee because the AI usually either doesn't hit back because it sucks (in parallel quests), or it DOES hit back but i still have enough health to take the damage. this is a LOT faster than ki blasting. of course, the alternative is to go super saiyan and spam ultimates......
