DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE

Male Saiyan Build Advice
I have a male Saiyan with the following stats:

HP: 37
Stamina: 50
Basic attack: 75
Ki Supers: 50
Strike Supers: 25 (considering reallocating to take these points out and put them somewhere else; his strike supers do absolutely nothing even with 25 points)

And the following moveset:

God Breaker
x10 Kamehameha
Tyrant Lancer
Instant Transmission
Super Kamehameha (Ult)
Special Beam Cannon (Ult)
Dimension Cannon (Evasive)

And I have been getting absolutely wrecked in many of the online battles I've played. Do you guys have any build advice? Is a male Saiyan even worth it for PvP? Reallocating is an option because I currently have a full set of Dragonballs, so reallocation advice is also welcome.

First thing i notice is god breaker, change that for pressure sign, its alittle harder to pull off but it blocks both ki and strike, the damage from god breaker/change the future is meh.

Male Saiyan does one thing, and one thing only: Basic Attacks. That is literally it. Male Saiyans are 4th in the game on HP, 1st in the game in Basic Attack, and dead last bottom of the barrel in both Ki and Strike Supers.

So your build needs to look something like this:

Max Height (These do make a substantial difference)
Max Muscles
HP: Whatever is left
Ki: 0
Stamina: (Minimum of 55, more if desired)
Basic Attack: 100
Strike Super: 0
Ki Super: 0

Moveset should be strike supers that give utility (since you'll be using Striker gear). Pressure Sign is the best counter, and I would suggest taking Rise To Action. Shining Slash is good for chasing, and Evil Whirlwind is good for zoning. Victory Rush has a lot of utility as an ultimate but be aware you're not using it for damage. Body Change makes a nice Plan B, but otherwise the second ultimate is yours to choose. Super Saiyan is completely useless, if you're gonna Transform use Kaioken x20 and take Angry Shout to recover ki. For evasives, I really like Vanisher Guard but lots of folks also like Armored Boost, which is also good.

Hate to say it but if you're not a Female Saiyan, you're very much a one trick pony. That being said, I absolutely ADORE my Male Saiyan. He's easily my favorite character.

What's most important in this situation is your playstyle. Focusing your basic attack implies you were building your character to use strike supers, yet barely put any points in them. I've come to the conclusion that in this game, min-maxing is the best approach after you've adopted your wanted playstyle.
Seeing as your moveset is primarily beams, I'd suggest focusing Ki Supers, Ki and Health. I suggest health as your third mainly so you can make up for the amount of sitting you'll be stuck doing if you miss a beam. That's just my two cents, though I've barely tackled PvP, so take my advice with a grain of salt.

Race and Gender have a MASSIVE impact on the effectiveness of certain attack types. Males typically do better with strikes, Females with Ki. Saiyans are particularly bad at Strike Supers overall, and Male Saiyans will do the same amount of damage with a Ki Ultimate as they will with a full Strong Basic combo which is highly suggestive.

I would suggest reading the following two guides to get a good understanding of how it all fits together, which will explain the reasoning behind my build:

The Big Numbers Guide goes into more depth than you really need to, but the first one I linked, the Stat Guide, that one is right on the money.

This is perfect. I knew about the Big Numbers Guide but not the Stat Guide. This will help immensely with future builds. Thanks a lot!

if you want honest numbers opinions.

100 basic attack, 97 hp (or vice versa), 40 stamina.

this is from a pvp perspective of course.

you could i guess go

100 basic attack, 100 stamina, 37 hp...but id hate being so squishy...lot of stamina sure i guess.

I just changed my build to this:

HP: 80
Ki: 0
Stamina: 57
Basic Attack: 100
Ki / Strike S.: 0

Using "Dragon Fist Explosion!" and full Stamina / Basic Attack gear I have 8 bars of Stamina and a TON of HP.
