Great Saiyaman Suit super rare drop?

I've been farming PQ 30 since yesterday and so far I only have the helmet and bottom piece. I've lost count how many times I've done this PQ. There's 3 RNGs to get through: (1) Frieza and Cell revive, (2) you get a drop, (3) it's the drop you need. :/

Anyone here have the full set? Please share how you managed to obtain it. There must be some kind of trick to it...Idk...I've completed this PQ in so many different ways...

I just finished collecting the set, took me from the time I'd considered "farming" it about 4 days, 2 days without success of getting any drops. So far from my runs I might have a method to completely get it to drop but I'm "NOT" 100% sure it will always work.

So from my runs I recommend when you first run into frieza kill him but finish him with an ultimate, same with cell. This might increase the trigger for the bonus objective, afterwards finish resurrected frieza with an ultimate again, same with cell, doing this guaranteed me to get the saiyaman outfit drops.

Hope it works for you too.

I got the entire set as well.

It took next 5 effective hours (over the course of 2 days playing the game)

I actually had an excel worksheet open just so I could throw the numbers there to keep me motivated.

I don't have it anymore so I can't pass you the spot-on numbers.. but I remember the special event (frieza and Cell revival) would only trigger about 30% of the time.

I used a super saiyan to farm....

I made sure I would always kill regular cell with over 10 minutes of time reamining (usually he would die with 11 minutes remaining.... but it depended a lot on luck)


Since you already have the helmet, this bit of info won't be useful to you... but if anyone else is reading this.....

** Do NOT go through the recomended route (the one your scouter suggests)... always go back to the starting area, there's a chance the Great Saiyaman will spawn there... he will give you a helmet for free when you talk to him.

This event can happen everytime you clean one of the portals (3 portals total)... so you actually have 2 rolls to see if the Great Saiyaman will spawn (the last portal will trigger cell and frieza, so there's no way for the saiyaman to spawn)

Oh... and last bit of advice...

Don't farm with a character that is still leveling up.

Always use your best character (some insane lvl 80 with pure raw damage).

After all, you want to face roll things as fast as possible.

If you have no character lvl 80 yet.... leave the farming for later...

You actually get the Great Saiyaman Helmet from PQ31, not PQ30.

Thanks for the replies you two. All I need now are the boots. No doubt about it - takes time for everything to drop, but it's not impossible. You guys are right: you need a level 80. Makes everything a ton easier. Especially a character that can dish out the damage to get you through the first 3 stages quickly. Only thing I can add is that you absolutely must get an "ultimate finish" for the Saiyaman pieces to drop. A normal finish won't work.

Hope this thread helps anyone who is farming the pieces. Don't get discouraged! I'm at 8+ hours and I almost have the set. lol You'll get it...eventually.

@Star - I got mine in PQ 30. Gohan gives it to you in the starting area. His spawn is random, but not rare at all.

My mistake than. You can also get it from Videl in PQ31 after clearing 2nd area.
