Hard Mode!
I was thinking about ways to implement better drop rates and increase end game play time as well as adding more challenge to the game. An idea I'm certain has already been thought of, but I'd like to see it in the game.

You could add difficulty modes to all PQ missions which are unlocked after beating them on the normal(Default) level.

Normal Mode- The default difficulty of enemies and drop rates.

Hard Mode- Enemies are at least twice as strong in stats, including health(maybe level too) and ulimate finish events have a high chance of occuring, with slighly improved drop rates for items and skills.

Insane/Lunatic Mode- Enemies are about 3-5 times stronger in stats, more health and have an insanely high level to show for it. Bosses with super armor have near-unlimited super armor.
Ultimate finish events are almost guranteed to trigger if the requirements are met and the drop rates of items and skills are high. A mode that encourages max level co-op and super moves fired by bosses will often one shot players with low hp if they don't dodge or defend themselves on the harder pq missions. You could also call it asian difficulty mode if you wish.

Even if you don't like the way I set it up. I still think it'd be a good to implement difficulty modes with rewards in the future.
I think it could be easily done by simply adding multipliers, and fixing the pve super saiyan spam where goku fires super kamehameha over 5 times in a row without pause along with his buddies. That would make it a bit more fair on the harder modes.

Maybe in Xenoverse 2 ;-)
That kind of mechanic change is to big for single patch (i think so).

But concept not so bad.

I don't claim to know much about scripting or making games, but it seems pretty easy to multiply stat/health/drop values upon selecting the difficulty mode. But if that isn't the case, that just makes me look foward to Xenoverse 2.

In my opinion Xenoverse is close to perfect Dragon Ball game.
If devs will read this site, and focus on what community want, sequel will be fantastic.

Something like that could easily be added in a patch. This game just came out. I would prefer it's actually supported rather than even thinking of a sequel bleh...

I don't want a hard mode. At least, not until the CPU can actually fight without being completely cheap.

I already find the current settings too easy in PvE, and that's without cheesing. Harder modes would be great.

Want to play the hard mode ?

step 1 - call your parents
step 2 - login the game
step 3 - get a hard on

now try to play while you try to hide it x)

I guess this way the game will get pretty fu.cking hard !
Would love a Legendary warrior mode for Story mode. Make every enemy level 86 and you start from the begininng wuith a -5% to stats

A hard mode implies it would be optional.

Here is hoping to a developer reads this and doesn't mind working on the idea at some point.

Edit: Also, I'd like to add that if someone timed such a patch after or near the release date of the first dlc. There is a chance dlc sales for this game could be better if more people are playing more difficulty modes and challenges. I imagine that more people would consider buying the dlc or the season pass since they'll still be busy actively playing the game past the point they've collected every skill and item.
