DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE

DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE

No sound - Only when using USB 3.0 Headphones
Hi everyone,

Well the title pretty much sums it up. I have sound in game if I have my speakers set as my default device and I also have sound if I use my old crappy headphones in the 3.5mm jack but if I try to run the game with my USB 3.0 headphones (preferable due to quality) I get no audio at all.

Anyone else getting this problem specifically with USB 3.0 headphones?

Are the Headphones the "default" device when the game starts up? I don't use wired headphones (keep chunking cords so cost/quailty favored wireless). Games coded like Xenoverse do not react kindly to swapping Audio devices while in active use.
Yes I always make sure they are set as default to avoid in game hot swapping since a lot of games get funny trying to change them in-game. I would just buy another set however I'm sure it's not the headphones since it is only this game having issues with them, I would go wireless but I am more than happen with the Razer Kraken's quality ^_^

no i can use my PC 323D with a 3.0 USB with no problems have you checked if DBXV is on your USB headset because you have used more than one audio input
Yeah, I have already checked, exhausted all options and thought I would try asking on here. I very rarely use the speakers on my laptop, I normally use headphones or HDMI through my tv for audio & video.

Thanks for the replies so far btw people, on my lunch break I'm going to tinker again because now that I can see others are using USB 3.0 for sound I have this gut feeling I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up somewhere -_-#

I have had issues like this with the razer drivers, try disabling all other audio devices except that one and set your sound quality back to default (probably dvd quality)

I have a setting that allows me to switch freely between my speakers and my headphones as soon as I plug them in. That guy just needs to change his preferences in Windows Audio so the Headphones get actually used instead of being ignored. I did it like this:

I set my headphones as my primary sound output, and when I plug it out, it will search for another.

You most likely did not set up his USB headset properly, that's why I say it's either you or Windows. Unless you only hear nothing in DBX that is.

click playback devices by right clicking speaker icon make sure your PC is registering your headphones if i use a USB headset i have to disable my normal speakers to get audio in my headset.

Also make sure you plug your headset in BEFORE you start your game i noticed during recording of my video today if i switched to my headset to prevent feedback, the audio of my game would die till i restarted.
Not to be rude here and I appreciate the input but a few things to clarify:

- If I intend to use headphones with a game I always plug them in before launching the game as most games will not let you hot swap in game.
- Once plugging them in I am sure DBX is using them as no audio comes out of my speakers from the intro music playing, confirmed also by removing them the audio then started to come out of my speakers.
- I ONLY get no sound with DBX using my headphones, I then played Elite: Dangerous, H1Z1, DayZ and Half-life 2 all of which the audio came through my headset without any settings being changed in Windows.
- I have checked again and again and my drivers are 100% up to date
- Headphones are "Set as Default Device" and "Default Communication Device"

It's DBX's fault then. I don't know about audio settings in game, but If I#d be you, I'd write a ticket to the support.

Also: I am able to switch my audio devices midgame with any game, so I do not know which games you mean. It doesn't matter though
Yeah, i've emailed them (about a week ago) but nothing back yet :(
