Best melee skills ?
So, what are the best melee skills ? Something like ''Recoome Kick'' and ''Blue Hurricane'' ? But what else is good ?

Thank you very much Yuki! :-) That helped a lot. I guess i will use: Meteor Crash, Recoome Kick, x20 Kaioken, Final Pose, Blue Hurricane.

Shining slash teleports when fully charged, God Breaker won't spend ki if you aren't hit, drains drain. Very useful to keep a kaioken up.

I second shining slash. You can use it uncharged to continue a combo, or use it charged for the teleport + to hit runners.

I used Krillin's Orin Combo up until I got #18's Deadly Dance as my main strike super. Both are solid, but Deadly Dance has a very wide arc, making it very easy to connect (Orin is a little easy to miss with) and somewhat effective against groups. It also supposedly has basic ki deflection, but never used it for that. For some reason, the AI almost never blocks the last hit either.

Meteor Crash is nice for its chainability, I've used that as an alternative. Burter's Mach Punch is nice too, but it can leave you exposed. Guard breakers like Sledgehammer and Arm Crash are nice to have on hand, if you're having an issue with blocks.

Also have to reiterate how much I enjoy Recoome Kick, even though everyone's already mentioned it. Just feels awesome every time it connects. Sometimes I avoid comboing into the KO just so I can get it as a finisher.

If you're looking at Ultimates, you'll prolly want to hit up Victory Rush.

Recoome Kick gives a damage boost, which is nice because I use melee a lot.

Meteor Crash is good for keeping an opponent locked and stacking combos. Keep the button held and you can continue the attack rush, making it pretty easy to reach combos of 30+.

Arm Crash is good to break through an opponent's guard. If it hits, it should also deplete their stamina and put them into 'Guard Break' mode, meaning they can't use anything that consumes stamina.

Evil Rise Strike does quite a bit of damage versus flying opponents, and it's very easy to use.

Death Slash is a melee range ki attack. It's quick and useful for adding some extra damage to the end of your combos.

Sauzer Blade does more damage than Death Slash, but it's harder to use and leaves you more vulnerable.

Meteor Strike is useful if you want to put some distance between yourself and your opponents. You can use it to single an enemy out, kick them far into the distance and teleport to that location. Afterwards you'll kick them back to the original location and they'll slam downwards. If you need a few seconds to charge ki or stamina, this skill would be great for buying you some time.

Meteor Strike and Meteor Blow are absolutely vital. I always have one or the other in any of my builds. Victory Rush as an ultimate is pretty useful aswell, and Vanishing Ball is a good ki blast to use right after a combo when you kick an enemy to the ground

I'm enjoying Mach Punch and Super Dragon Fist on my human character (Though i'm really sad the latter isn't the opponent eating dragon of doom punch from Budokai 3)

I'm trying to think of the name, but that move where it is a strike, that summons a green ball and you hit them in the face and throw it? That move is god tier for every striker.


1) It combos well off melee.
2) It is range and it hurts.
3) It has some homing.
4) It is a green ball to the face.

Victory Combination is a good melee ultimate since it actually combos well, whereas most of the others have huge startup. The only downside is that there's no invincibility during it and the AI spams evasive moves during it, making it only useful for combo enders and 1-on-1 fights.

Gigantic Meteor is what Rager is talking about. Pretty solid.
