Parallel Quest 53: Dangerous Duo... Unlucky or Bugged?

Okay, so I've been trying my hardest to get the secret conditions and I just can't figure it out...
The basic quest is to get the three dragonballs, I've tried with and tried without slamming Broly into the pavement and it won't activate.

Is this the case for anyone else? I've tried many times in different ways and it just isn't happening for me. I understand its RNG, but I'm trying to make sure I'm doing it right.

Grab one Dragon Ball then kill broly, then collect the remainder of the dragon balls and it should (Most of the time it is a RNG event) revive broly and give you 4 more dragonballs to collect.

I must be pretty unlucky then, because I've done that six times without it giving me the event.
I'll report back with the count of times I've had to do it and see If that works.

Edit: Nothing yet and I've made sure Videl is alive each time.

Yes, you NEED to kill Broly before you gather all 3 dragon balls. Then there's a chance he'll revive.
ps: and yes, the RNG God can be pretty mean sometimes ^^

I've gotten it a few times, but each time I have, it was with Videl still alive. I'm not sure if it's tied to the timing or what but it should eventually happen.

you have to have gohan around when you kill him since the prequiest for revive is have gohan still alive. if gohans not there it dont count so he has to kill videl goten trunks first

i tried letting those three die and gohan comes in and kill brolly but he still didn't revived :P the quest stinks i did it 20 times he revived 12 times but the drop rates omg why u no drop souls and equipments~~~~~ >,<

it is RANDOM as all heck... 9/10 brolly never revives for me either...

That is incorrect. I've gotten ultimate finish with a z ranking numerous times without Gohan spawning. The condition is he just has to not die. Just grab one ball, beat Broly down, then turn in the last 2. Sometimes I'll go a few times without the extra event spawning. Sometimes the extra event will happen several times in a row. The RNG on the extra requirements is kind of annoying. I dont know if timing has to do anything with it but I can normally beat down Broly and turn all the balls back in under 2 minutes.

... That's why? I would've guessed that beating Broly would've had put him down, after collecting said balls to have him revive and have Gohan arrive on the scene...

No, this is not accurate. It is possible, you just cannot get all the way to the point where Gohan dies. Most likely you won't even get Gohan because Broly seems to be derping out a lot on your enemies instead.

The quest seems to be bugged after the latest patch. I've had the secret conditions happen multiple times before the patch and it worked most of the time, but now it never happens, at all. So idk.

after testing your guys theorys i apologies i felt like idiot trying get gohan to appear with bad ai broly not fighting at all for 10 mins each time (the ai programing is really bad in this game especialy the other broly movie one were he has to beat everyone to get vegeta to appear to get that z soul he glitches and just has ki fights for 5 mins with piccolo and gohan as well)

but yes your right you can do the mission by wooping brollys but of the bat but most PQ when it says they must be alive they have to be on screen for it to work thing with pq the bonus arnt spersific in what they want if it says have gohan alive. first assumption would be having Gohan fighting correct? but they programed it that he dose not need to be there its sort of bad on there part

I'm having a hard time getting Z ranking. To get the event to happen, you grab a Dragon ball, get it to the ship, and kick Brolly's butt in a short amount of time (1st round). 4-5 minutes is usually the magic amount of time (10-11 minutes left) for a lot of things in this game. Sometimes it's 3 minutes

Seems like it didn't trigger when I took 3 people. I got it more reliably taking my character and Vegeta (Vegeta being my character's master at the time)

I did the Brolly whooping tactic, and got 52551. Got B ranking...

I wonder if you have to smack Brolly when he's circling opponents like that

Let Videl die and then kill broly with goten and gohan around, afterwards i think Gohan will come and help.
