Recoome's Species?
Ive' been playing PQ 12 for dragonball farmign for so long, that my brain conjured thoughts out of boredom. Namely, what race is Recoome? He's certainly too strong for a Earthling, and he's definetly not a Saiyan, yet he looks very human. Probably another oversight on Toriyama's part. XD

seeing as saiyans are almost identical to humans except they're wild hair and tails hes probably another earthling like race but much stronger.

There's a lot of earthling/human-like characters that make me wonder the same thing. Mainly some of the various random Frieza soldiers.

Recoome is just fabulous. However as I recall he was defeated by Yamcha. Just let that sink in for a bit.

Well when they died their powers were sapped to a point where king kai was stronger than them and king kai was the one who invited them over.

Watch the Japanese version, he's great in it. He's not supposed to be a bumbling idiot like he is portrayed in the American version. He's sadistic, strange, and flamboyant. A great, great character/voice actor.

What's interesting about this is that the inital English dub (Ocean) was closer to the Japanese version. Then he became a buffoon when Funimation stepped in.

Yeah I was kind of wondering about that. I mean he was portrayed as a big dumb lug but after dispatching Vegeta and Krillen he pretty much tortured Gohan like a psychopathic kid pulling the limbs off a fly. Definitely some problems upstairs with that one.
